The problem is that there are so few people who start from the position that they should be working for the general welfare of the American people. This country is increasingly run for the benefit of corporate executives. Private employers and small business owners just piggy back on that.

I couldn't agree more. My feelings exactly. Can't they see what this country would be like if it adopts millions of Mexican illegals and others?
We would all begin to have Mexico's worst problems in our own backyard. In fact, we already have. Look at Arizona! They really don't get it despite all the evidence and costs associated with illegal immigration, not to mention the loss of American lives.

Immigration SHOULD be a LEGAL process where people who QUALIFY for entry follow the rules, pay the fees, wait the time it takes - I'm all in favor of reducing the wait to a couple of years instead of 10-15 years - and speak/learn English, get all the immunizations, background checks, etc. so that when they come to live and work in the U.S. it's by merit and not by deception. It would be nice if they represented that they want to assimilate into U.S. culture and eventually become naturalized U.S. citizens.

NO favoritism towards one prominent group over another. No monopolies on immigration. No rewarding illegal entry with benefits and privileges, no anchor baby citizenship and the enforcement of the rule of law just like ALL citizens are subject to. We can't break state and federal laws without being punished so why are illegals the exception?

These illegal immigrants, their sneaky advocates, lawyers, corporations, churches and politicians continue to rape the immigration system and turned it upside down. NAFTA and back room deals between the U.S. and Mexico are also to blame. Where is the voice of LEGAL immigrants in this country? I bet 95% of them do not want their "dream" to be ruined by lawbreakers who invade the land and get away with it.

Corrupt churches, politicians and greedy corporation are to blame. I'm grateful for ALI-PAC for its efforts. At least someone has enough common sense to fights for what's ethical and right instead of sugar coating illegal activity. I think we're all pro LEGAL immigration. But these other pro illegal immigration groups and corrupt defenders of lawlessness want the American people to bend over regardless of the consequences. The BILLIONS of dollars spent on illegal immigrants could be used to save people from foreclosure, to educate American citizens, to increase salaries and to stimulate job growth. The billions of dollars wasted on incarceration of illegals, their education, their legal defense, public housing, etc., should be going towards the American people. We have a recession going on, wars, high unemployment, foreclosures, economic chaos and yet billions of dollars are financing illegal aliens needs and wants, their education, housing, employment, benefits, etc. Plus they jump in front of every would-be legal immigrant out there. Now we want to give them their freaking Dream Act too? How stupid is that?
