Driver arrested after pot is found in load of concrete
Driver arrested after pot is found in load of concrete pillars
TUCSON, Ariz. Nearly one-thousand pounds of marijuana has been found hidden inside concrete pillars in the back of a tractor-trailer at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales.
Customs and Border Protection officers say they pulled the truck over yesterday afternoon for a secondary inspection due to the nervous behavior of the 32-year-old Mexican driver.
Agents pulled out one of the pillars, drilled a hole in it and found a bundle of pot.
They unloaded 18 crates, 13 of which had concrete pillars.
In all, officers found 51 bundles of marijuana inside the pillar sections.
The bundles were even surrounded by dirt inside the pillars to mask the pot odor.
The unidentified driver was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

And they want to let these truckers go all over the country? There is no reason a reasonable person would allow this, unless they're on the take.
