One Northstate lawmaker wants federal money for incarcerating illegal immigrants. Assemblyman Dan Logue has signed on to Senate Bill 125 which would allow the state to bill the Federal Government for the full cost of incarceration. Logue says the illegal immigrant population takes a toll on already overcrowded prisons and the state’s financial situation.

Logue says currently the federal government provides only a partial take-it-or-leave-it payment. He says California pays 89-percent of the cost

They act like, if they have the Federal Government pay for it, it won't still be coming out of the pockets of American citizens.
