Sheriff Joe Arpaio's deputies arrested over 20 more suspected human smugglers this week, including two who have been deported from the U.S. more than a dozen times each.

On Monday night, deputies arrested Ivan Lara-Roque who has been deported 13 times and has been permanently banned from entering the United States.

Just 24 hours later, on Tuesday evening, deputies arrested a suspected smuggler who has been deported 14 times, including just a week earlier in Colorado.

Arpaio says the "revolving door" of arrests and deportations of illegal aliens entering the country shows the federal system is broken. However, the sheriff says while President Obama and other federal officials have said that illegal immigrants without a criminal record shouldn't be deported, "I don't care about the federal law because there are two state laws that we're enforcing: the human smuggling, and raiding businesses."

Arpaio also hinted that his office will conduct its next "crime suppression sweep" later this week.
