Thank gosh I read this today. I live in SW Florida also.
I was beginning to think I was losing it after reading
our papers everyday. It is total crime. One after the other...
and then they ask for help but most of the time do not
give a description until later and now the perps are described
as dark skinned individuals. Even today, the crime news nationally
    is stories from Florida.

The bill's opponents — on both the left and right — not only succeeded in derailing comprehensive immigration reform for now, but also in allowing for nothing to happen.
Plenty can and should happen. Let's see if the Dems will now allow our country to uphold and enforce existing laws.

We need to do everything possible to secure our borders, go after illegal employers, withhold all freebies for illegals, kill the $10 million grant that LaRaza has given itself in the form of HR 1999, push states to enact state laws and counties to enroll in 287g.

The fact is that both parties, but especially the Democratic presidential candidates, are scared to death to have to deal with the immigration issue in the general election.

I say let immigration and the NAU be THE issues of the '08 election and the traitors be flushed out and go up in flames!

    Kate,
I agree we need to get the issues to the front of the debates, we need to flush out the tratiors, like OB and Hill, We need to really start pushing on this.
