Below is an excellent letter Dixie posted from a writer in New Hampshire opposing the DREAM Act. I intend to send it to both New Hampshire Senators in addition to my own. Perhaps Sen. Nelson needs to receive a copy or two?

Letter: Oppose tuition deal for illegal immigrants

    To the editor:

While thousands of New Hampshire parents lay awake at night unsure if they are able to afford their children's college education, our federal government is looking for taxpayers to supplement in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants under the DREAM Act (S 729 and HR 1751).

While, the intent of the DREAM Act seems honorable, sending disadvantage illegal immigrant's children to college, the reality is a nightmare for struggling American families. Rosemary Jenks, NumbersUSA director of government relations, conducted an analysis of the DREAM Act to reveal the nightmare:

The act's amnesty provision applies to all illegal immigrants' "kids" up to age 35.

To qualify the illegal immigrant will not have to prove a claim.

The taxpayers will supplement additional cost to allow the federal government to investigate any claims that are false.

The illegal immigrant parent who broke the law will be given a fast track to qualify for U.S. citizenship.

The DREAM Act would remove a key provision of the federal ban on in-state tuition for future illegal immigrants.

The act does not cap or limit the numbers qualified.

The DREAM Act is a massive give away of higher education. Since the number of open college admission enrollment slots are fixed for every illegal immigrant admitted an American student or legal resident will be turned away.

There are plenty of lower-income citizens who need educational assistance.

The DREAM Act would give illegal immigrants preference and put lower-income citizens at risk to a better education. In addition, it would put college out of reach for many middle-class citizens.

The DREAM Act is poorly written and supporters place the interest of illegal immigrants above the American family. This entitlement creates a higher incentive for illegal immigration into our country.

Call Congressman Paul Hodes and Sen. Judd Gregg today and oppose the DREAM Act.

Most of the latest comments on the source article are nothing more than an orchestrated spam campaign by the Pro-ILLEGAL Elitist and Political Contributors supporting their Elitist Politician!

Which jobs are these illegal students going to go after when they graduate?
I guess I'm wondering which fields are still hiring dozens, hundreds, or thousands of college graduates.
For every illegal that takes a spot in a college/university, an American citizen or legal resident loses out, AND for every illegal alien who graduates and takes a job, an American citizen or legal resident loses out, and can join the ranks of the unemployed, unable to feed, house, or clothe themselves or their families.
THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR AN AMNESTY.
THIS IS THE TIME TO SAVE JOBS FOR UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS.
EMPLOYERS NEED TO E-VERIFY CURRENT EMPLOYEES AS WELL AS NEW HIRES.

Lara ''has earned the chance to live and work here and call America home,'' Nelson wrote.
No illegal alien has EARNED the right to U.S. citizenship! The only immigrants that have earned the opportunity to call America home are those that came here legally.

Of course the Elitist Politicians from BOTH major Political Parties and their Elitist Political Contributors would support the "dream act" they consider U. S. citizens only as units of labor and the sooner we become a Third World Country the better for their bottom line! Our Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Political Contributors will not be happy until they transform the U. S. into a Third World Country for most of our citizens while furnishing the Chamber of Commerce and all their Elitist Special Interest Groups with their supply of cheap labor. The Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Contributors are socializing benefits to the ILLEGALS, camouflaged as welfare for U. S. Citizens, on the backs of U.S. Citizens through our assets such as the EDUCATION SYSTEM, Social Security, and Health Care not to mention our National Security while privatizing the profits for themselves!

Lara received top scores in high school and college. He moved to Miami from Argentina when he was three. After graduating from Miami-Dade Honors College in 2007 he became a computer technician.
Lara has already graduated from college, why would he need the Dream act? How did he pay for college and how was he able to get a job, if he is here illegally?

He can take that education back to Argentina and do a world of good there, it's not a 3rd world country. Deport him!

The following comment was a response to a comment from a Pro-ILLEGAL named njaadvocate on the source article from the Miami newspaper. The Pro-ILLEGALS seem to be coming out of the woodwork on the source article.

"nja, I never received financial aid for college, I worked and saved money for my education; mowed lawns (many of these jobs now given to ILLEGALS by ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS), cleared land for housing (again jobs now given to ILLEGALS by ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS), dug ditches and laid pipe for city water lines (yet again jobs now given to ILLEGALS by ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS), worked turnarounds at refineries during the summers (as you may have guest by now, jobs now given to ILLEGALS by ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS), stocked groceries overnight (you know, again jobs now given to ILLEGALS by ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS), and etc. Maybe our Government should subsidize U.S. Citizen Students for the lost opportunity to earn money for their EDUCATION that the ILLEGALS and their ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS have stolen, but of course the education would not be as valuable if it was just another HANDOUT as the ILLEGALS and their Anchors believe they are entitled. The ILLEGALS would not be "terrified to claim their taxes" if they were LEGAL!"
