BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Six men in Bay County were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers (ICE) on Tuesday.

The men, ranging in age from 21 to 41 years-old, were in the custody of the Bay County Sheriff's Office earlier this week and held for ICE.

These include Humberto Solis-Teltez, 32, Sergio Maldonado-Lopez, 29, Marvin Omar Rangel-Alarcon, 30, Jose Ramirez-Sosa, 41, Jose Martin Rangel-Cobos, 25, and Isaac Lopez-Hernandez, 21.

WJHG/WECP tried to find out why they were detained, but officials will only give limited information.

What we do know is all of the men have criminal convictions and they come from various countries. According to a source with the ICE agency in North Florida, these were individually targeted law enforcement actions, and their cases are all unrelated.

The agency says their operational tempo has remained the same over the last several months.

An arrest doesn't immediately mean deportation. They will be put into the ICE system where their cases will be taken to the executive office of immigration review and reviewed by an immigration judge.
