A man implicated in an immigration scam at a Marshalltown meatpacking plant has pleaded guilty to harboring an illegal immigrant. Christopher Lamb is a human resources manager at Swift & Company. He was arrested last summer after authorities recorded him coaching an illegal immigrant on how to use fake documents to get hired. In his plea, Lamb also admitted hiding an illegal immigrant at the plant from June 3rd to June 25th. Lamb has been sentenced to 12 months of probation.

Swift Manager Pleads Guilty in Charge Related to Immigration Raid

March 26, 2008--A former Swift plant manager has pled guilty in federal court. On December 12, 2006, federal agents stormed Swift plants in Iowa and five other states. More than 1,200 workers were arrested nationwide. In Marshalltown, 98 people were detained, but that was just the beginning.

A year after the raid, manger Christopher Lamb was arrested and accused of helping illegal immigrants get jobs. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to harboring an illegal immigrant. He is now expected to give prosecutors even more information about the hiring of undocumented workers at the plant, and his attorney thinks the case will move up the Swift chain of command.

Lamb has been sentenced to 12 months

Maybe is some of these guys did some jail time this would stop!!

12 months probation! This guy should have been doing 12 months prison time. Oh well, good luck trying to find a job with those felonies on your record traitor! I guess cheating America by hiring your illegals was not worth that year end bonus now afterall was it!

Maybe if your lucky one of the illegal invaders you hired can get you a job mowing lawns somewhere.
