GEORGETOWN, DEL. -
Georgetown police arrested two local residents on Feb. 18, charging them with operating an illegal dentistry business out of their Crestwood Gardens apartment. Carlos Ruben Ramos-Martin, 35, and Delma Lopez-Ramirez, 41, were taken into custody after police received complaints from local health-care providers about patients who had developed serious oral infections after a visit to the unlicensed operation.

On a search-and-seizure warrant, police located Martin and Ramirez, recovered tooth-extraction tools, lidocaine, syringes, needles, dental powders, and teeth molds from apartment 110A at the North Railroad Street building.

Police said Martin was performing dentistry work there and is not a licensed dentist, nor does he have any type of medical degree. Ramirez also lived at the apartment and was aware that Martin was practicing dentistry. Both were charged with practicing medicine without a license, conspiracy, possession of hypodermic needles, and possession of a non-controlled prescription drug; both were committed to SCI in lieu of bond and an immigration detainer was also placed on them.

Two other men were also found in the apartment; one was found to have re-entered the U.S. illegally, and the other was wanted on an outstanding DUI capias. Both were committed to SCI, also on an immigration detainer.

I hope they throw the book at these morons and the people who were 'stooopid' enough to go there for dental work.
