    Associated Press - March 31, 2010 4:44 PM ET
Now we need 3 more border state governors to do the same thing.

I don't care what anyone says, this does not erase all the illegal alien aiding and abetting Gov. Richardson has being doing for years! Heck, this could be one of those cover your own butt deals, especially with folks like Senate hopeful Hayworth and former congressman Tancredo using the recent border killing as fodder to blast open border supporters. Then again, it could just be an act to look tough for the voters. Forgive me for sounding skeptical, but I find it extremely difficult to trust the motives of someone like Gov. Richardson.

Gov. Richardson loves him some illegal aliens, especially when they come from South of the border!

    Border Trouble Concerns Residents

More National Guard Troops To Patrol Border

    POSTED: 8:24 pm MDT March 31, 2010
    UPDATED: 9:11 pm MDT March 31, 2010

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- New Mexican residents of who live near the border say help can't come soon enough after break-ins, kidnappings and last week's slaying in nearby Arizona.

It comes on the heels of Gov. Bill Richardson's order for more National Guard troops to patrol the border.

Michelle Armbruster lives in Rodeo in Hidalgo County and has lived near the border her entire life. She said the violence started to escalate in 2006 when the newly elected Mexican president declared war on the drug cartels.

"I'm just scared what's going to happen with the residents if we don't get some help down here," said Armbruster.

Authorities said last week an illegal immigrant shot and killed Arizona rancher Robert Krentz, a close family friend of Armbrusters.

"My understanding of what happened the other day is that Rob had helped a Border Patrol Agent with some drug runners and it was retaliation that caused them to attack him," said Armbruster.

Armbruster said drug runners continue to ravage the small New Mexico and Arizona communities that surround the border.

"A couple of months ago, an older couple were -- two illegals came in, tied them up, stole their vehicle and they later found them in Lordsburg," said Armbruster.

Some of Armbruster's neighbors had their homes broken into up to a dozen times. While the ranchers wait for the National Guard troops to help patrol the border, Armbruster said her community has already drawn the line and decided to take safety into their own hands.

"We have guns. We have guns. We have dogs and we have each other," said Armbruster.

Armbruster also said she will certainly welcome all of the National Guard Troops to the southern part of our state. She hopes they can help put a stop to all of this violence because she says she will not consider leaving the community she grew up in.

As a Texas I think it is a shame that a liberal Democratic governor beat our supposidly conservative Republican governor to the punch of pretending to protect the people of their own state. When is Rick Perry going to get off his tail end and do something beside talk? Guess its time for another letter that surely won't be answered by Perry or any member of his staff.

A year ago, Texas Gov. Rick Perry asked Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to send 1,000 federal troops to help protect his state´s long and dangerous border with Mexico. Despite the increasing violence along the border, Napolitano has failed to act upon that request, and has spent much of her time in office downplaying the threat which drug cartels pose to this country.

During a recent MSNBC appearance, Napolitano the need for troops by saying: “We have a lot of technology akin to drones already that are being employed in different ways.â€
