Heroin seized when members of task force saw Gerardo Medina Hernandez unloading 95 pounds of the drug, officials said.

ANAHEIM – A man accused of possessing 95 pounds of black tar heroin for sale, worth an estimated $10 million, is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.
Gerardo Medina Hernandez, 25, was arrested Saturday in what state Attorney General Jerry Brown called the largest seizure in state history.
Scott Gerber of the state Attorney General's Office said Hernandez, a native of Mexico with a green card, was unloading the heroin from false compartments in the wheel well of his Volkswagen sport utility vehicle into a cooler when he was arrested.
Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement agents, Inglewood police and members of a multi-agency task force had obtained a search warrant for the SUV and Hernandez's home in the 1700 block of West Lincoln Avenue.
Inside the apartment, Hernandez had no furniture aside from some air mattresses and a television, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office.
Hernandez has no known criminal record in California, Gerber said.
Orlando Lopez, senior special agent in charge of the bureau, said that the fact that he has no record is not unusual.
