All I can say is I'm glad I had the privledge of sitting under Biblical teaching. I mean line by line, precept by precept of the Bible. No political stuff from the pulpit. If an issue like illegal immigrant in the church came up, it was handled Biblically and with compassion. It was hard for them but they obeyed what the church said, and in the end it was to their benefit.

I've been in a few churches that preach politics, and agenda. I just get up and walk out never to darken the door again. There's absolutely no reason to be there.

I have a hard time with almost all the churches these days, if it is'nt helping the illegals, it's about excepting things God wouldnt approve of.

You can make shure any donation to united way goes to specific group by listing them, I have a freind that only gives to the Boy Scouts,that way he knows it goes to the boys.

But this is the trend in young evangelicals: they are taught in public schools now that Dr. Martin Luther King--not Washington, not Lincoln, not Churchill---is the outstanding hero.

Interesting this came up. The young pastor at our church is really "into" MLK. Dunno if he knows it or not, but MLK had mistresses ALL over the South. While he did plenty of good, he's not the hero society has made him out to be. Just a human being like the rest of us....

I agree peanut. IF you can't find a church the doesn't preach politics PM me and I'll give you a good one on NRB TV Channel.
