WASHINGTON (AP) -- Republicans have muscled a $1.1 trillion bill financing government agencies through the House after President Barack Obama phoned Democratic lawmakers and urged them to back the measure.
The House approved the measure late Thursday by 219-206.
The compromise bill keeps agencies funded through next September.
Many conservatives opposed it because it did not block Obama's recent executive actions on immigration. A large majority of House Democrats opposed it because of provisions easing some restrictions on banks and allowing higher political contributions by big donors.
Obama backed the bill and called wavering Democratic lawmakers to persuade them to help it pass.
The bill must now be approved by the Democratic-run Senate.
Funding for federal agencies was expiring at midnight. Lawmakers were ready to pass short-term legislation keeping government doors open.

What? You mean the bastards passed the damn thing tonight? Oh my God, I despise these people. All 219. They'll have a great deal to account for in January to make up for this, and they better have it figured out and the defunding of the funding passed before the State of the Union message.

God, I hate them all for letting this awful bill to actually pass without any attempt at stopping Obama's Amnesty. We must stop him along with anyone who pulled off or voted for this amnesty. We must remove any Republican who helped to get this bill on the floor of the house for a vote and there are many of them. Do not let their NO vote tonight make you blind to how they allowed it to even happen. They are the enemy of the citizens of this nation and we must do all within our power to end this mess they are making of our country. If this action is allowed to continue, it is the death of the USA !!!!!!!

I am really to march, we must do it, we must !!!! Let's march on the capital !!!!

But perhaps an overriding desire on both sides not to risk another government shutdown prevailed.

The current plan would fund the government through September 2015, but immigration services only through late February, teeing up a battle over immigration for early 2015.
January is going to be very interesting. Defund the Funding. Lets March!!

I'm feeling burned, and it was John Boehner playing with the match that burned me! Talk about hypocrite, he and his party have taken the cake. Funds EA action for even three months is aiding and abetting an attack upon our Constitution is not right for an American Congress to do. Generals Washington and Eisenhower would have executed soldiers like that in the field!!

Then he also makes it easier for banks to play with the same box of matches that burned banks down in 2008. How smart is that, again republicans show the height of their intelligence and common sense.

Take your money home now, buy some guns and defend your home! Republicans and Democrats are not doing it and have no intention to do it! We must turn to some other way, and do that immediately!

Maybe we should do a Christmas Cut-Back/Boycott? Take it national across the board, every member of the US Chamber of Commerce because they're the largest lobbyist funding the votes in our Congress that we despise and cause our demise. Most of these businesses make their annual goals based on the Christmas revenues. Cut them back or cut them off, teach them a lesson they'll never forget.

All I want for Christmas is my country back.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
