“Instead of working constructively to address this critical challenge, House Republicans are holding hostage funding for the very Department that guards our borders and enforces our nation’s immigration laws,” they write.
No, we are stopping the funding for the Department that has failed to guard our borders and refuses to enforce our nation's immigration laws. Would you continue to pay your maid to clean your house when she hasn't swept or cleaned the bathrooms in 6 years? No, I don't think so. This is just good business and fiscal responsibility not to fund a Department that hasn't done its job for 6 years and has openly decreed that it has no intention of doing so.
