White House officials say President Trump wants the House to vote Friday on the legislation to begin dismantling ObamaCare, and if it fails, he is “done with health care,” and ready to move on to tax reform, a source tells Fox News.

President Donald Trump is among the high earners likely to benefit from the first big tax cut working its way through Congress.
According to estimates by the Wall Street Journal, Trump could save at least $3.2 million a year on his taxes on rental income if the 3.8% tax—known as the net investment income tax – is repealed. (That estimate is based on an analysis by WSJ reporters that’s disputed by Trump’s representatives).
The tax was originally included in the Affordable Care Act as a way to generate more revenue to pay for Obamacare’s increased medical coverage, and it has long been part of the Republican agenda to repeal it.
Now, it’s among several tax cuts proposed by House Republicans in their health care bill.
(More from Fortune: The Big Problem with Trump's Tax Plan)
The tax only applies to individuals making over $200,000 a year, and married couples making at least $250,000, and includes income earned on rent, capital gains, interest, and dividends.
As Bloomberg reporter Ben Steverman has noted, most high earners scarcely take a hit from the 3.8% tax. The NITT doesn’t get beyond three figures unless you’re in the top 1% of earners.
WSJ notes that Hillary Clinton paid $3,517 because of the tax in 2015, according to her tax return, but it’s impossible to know exactly how much Trump has paid because he has not released his tax returns.

if it fails, he is “done with health care"
If he gets rid of ryan, he might just have better input. If he keeps him guess he likes ryan's abominations.
Remember - a rich, native New Yorker easily says "So What" to any broken promises. Overall, a million times better than hlllary but he has to step up to the plate if he wants to sincerely make America great again!
That is not accomplished by breaking promises nor by signing off on policies of open border ryan like "heart" for DACAs & debased central american rip off "refugees" nor fulfilling the wishes of the GREEDY swamp kings - ryancare repeals obamacare in name only.

The problem today is the economic warp our country is in with so many poor and struggling Americans due to job loss and low wages from the loss of manufacturing operations due to free trade treason as well as the terrible job loss to illegal aliens and surplus legal immigrants. This is the problem Trump wants to solve, he knows the uninsured problem is an economic problem as much as it's an insurance structure problem. So his goal is to get rid of the mandates and tax penalties, free up the expendable income being paid by individuals for not having insurance and free companies to restore full time hours and start expanding without health insurance penalties if their business won't support or doesn't need health insurance incentives to hire workers to start expanding the economy to create jobs for American Workers.
That's why the immediate effect of AHCA is repealing the mandates and penalties in 2017, while other aspects of Phase 1 go into effect later on. Whether you have a subsidy or a tax credit really doesn't matter, because both simply indicate that you can't afford health insurance on your own and need an employer who provides it or be part of a group plan of some type or depend on the government. The individual health insurance market is a small market, people drop in and drop off because of fluctuating income and circumstances as should be their right to do, and when the policies are sold within the lines of a state as most are instead of nationally, the individual pools are small so when there are big claims, the insured in those pools pay increased premiums to pay for them.
Our country is in very serious trouble. The problems we face are enormous and overwhelming. How much income tax Donald Trump pays versus Hillary Clinton is irrelevant. Taxes have to be cut to bring our manufacturing base back to the United States, keep the ones we have from leaving and motivate both groups to expand here. That's why the tax reform is so important. It's not to reward rich people, it's to motivate them to bring the $13 Trillion in capital back to the US, to bring their manufacturing operations back to the US, to bring the good jobs with good benefits back to the US to benefit US with great jobs and benefits including employer paid health insurance.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
