House Freedom Caucus: Obamacare 2.0 Changes Do Not Address Illegal Aliens Receiving Health Care Through ID Theft

Recent changes made to the bill known as Obamacare 2.0 or “Ryancare” to persuade conservative House Republicans to vote for it do not address critical flaws—namely, allowing illegal aliens to obtain health care through identity fraud, a House Freedom Caucus spokeswoman told Breitbart News on Tuesday.

On Monday, House Freedom Caucus communications director Alyssa Farah told Breitbart News last-minute amendments “do little to address the serious concerns of House conservatives.” Without the House Freedom Caucus, the bill does not have the necessary 216 votes to pass the House. On Tuesday, Farah confirmed that the updated bill does not, in fact, prevent illegals from receiving health care.

Conservative author Daniel Horowitz explained earlier in March that a draft of Obamacare 2.0 tossed aside even perfunctory protections against illegal alien enrollment. “Although Obamacare didn’t require photo ID and fingerprints to verify identity, it did harness the Department of Homeland Security’s Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database. Thus, officials were at least able to check immigration status against Social Security numbers,” he wrote. “The problem with this bill is that because it tweaks Obamacare and creates a new massive entitlement system through the budget reconciliation process, it cannot have the statutory effect of mandating HHS and IRS work with Citizenship and Immigration Services to use the SAVE database because that issue is outside the jurisdiction of the reporting committees.”

So, the Department of Health and Human Services and IRS will not even be able to check enrollees’ Social Security numbers to ensure that the buyer is a citizen, not an illegal alien.

Estimates vary, but there are well over ten million illegal aliens present in the U.S., feeding an enormous appetite for fraudulent documents—including counterfeit Social Security cards using numbers that were either stolen from an American or will be assigned to a newborn in the future. During the Obamacare enrollment periods, Obamacare navigators signed up thousands of illegal aliens.

The massive healthcare giveaway would incentivize greater illegal immigration in an era of suppressed wages, joblessness, and a raging opioid addiction epidemic. As more cheap labor surges over the border, so do drugs. The Republican leadership’s healthcare bill would only fuel this disastrous cycle.

Furthermore, under the bill, illegals would receive care, counties that voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton would receive a big financial boost, and Rust Belt voters who backed Trump would see their healthcare costs increase dramatically.

Is Freedom Caucus going to screw this up? If this bill doesn't pass, ending Obamacare is dead. This initial bill is for Americans who don't want to pay $895 a year per person in tax penalty because they can't afford insurance and employers who want to expand hours and jobs who are prevented from doing so because they can't afford insurance for their employees or the thousands of dollars in tax penalties if they don't. These two items are for Americans TO BREATHE FREE of inappropriate mandates and punishment by the government. It's actually about "FREEDOM", so I hope the "FREEDOM" Caucus can keep its eye on the ball and at least do these two simple things to restore the FREEDOMS of the American People in our little land of liberty.

To allow illegal aliens to benefit again through Ryancare is deplorable.

For Paul Ryan to be the face and voice of our nation's healthcare fix does not bode well for the American people. His globalist, Chamber of Commerce interests are at odds with the average struggling American. His love for illegal aliens puts them ahead of Americans again.

Trump is going to deport illegal aliens so they won't be here to take advantage of American taxpayers any more. Tom Price of HHS isn't going to allow any benefits to illegal aliens and the Treasury Department under Mnuchin isn't going to mess up its bottom-line handing out tax credits to illegal aliens for anything.

This will be managed by Phase 2 changes in regulations and if some additional law is required Phase 3. This is all going to happen fast. But it can't even start until this Phase 1 bill is passed.

Illegal immigration won't be solved by health care laws. Illegal immigration is solved by enforcing US immigration laws. Everyone keep their eye on the ball.

The Tax Reform Bill which immediately follows this bill can and I'm sure will ban all tax credits to illegal aliens whether for HSAs, Healthcare, EITC and Child Care Tax Credits.

Our policy here at ALIPAC is to fight against any form of amnesty or benefits, including ObamaCare and now RyanCare for illegals. We don't know if Donald Trump is going to keep his promise to deport most illegals or not and the fact DACA Amnesty is still up is a very bad sign. The fact that others are saying Trump is open to amnesty for most illegals and Trump not refuting those claims is another very bad sign.

Now Trump is working with RINOs to pass a healthcare bill that will allow illegal aliens to enroll just like the controversy when Joe Wilson yelled "You Lie" at Obama?

We need to oppose all benefits for illegal aliens including RyanCare and we need to fight against the pro amnesty Republicans like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell when they order their minions to remove provisions from bills that would have stopped illegals from exploiting this program.

And on a final note, if illegal aliens will be continued to enroll in ObamaCare and then RyanCare won't that be an argument for amnesty in the future? Won't they say they can't pull the illegals out of the program because it will collapse without them?

For some of us the promise of future legislation is a weak reason to support the Ryan bill. Furthermore, the current bill under consideration is full of entitlements and does nothing to lower premiums. Supposedly they will actually rise under this bill. The Freedom Caucus is right in opposing this bill. One of the reasons they oppose it is because it will give illegals healthcare credits. They also oppose all the entitlements in a bill that does nothing to address future premiums and costs.

Well, we'll see. It's a little hard for me to believe the FREEDOM CAUCUS would want to continue unconstitutional government mandates forcing individuals to purchase insurance and employers to provide health insurance when they could vote for a bill that ends those mandates and tax penalties. I guess we'll find out tomorrow just what FREEDOM really means to them.

I hope I'm right and FREEDOM rings tomorrow with a passage of the bill in the House and the authoritarian socialists of the Democratic Party do down in blaze of defeat.
