It sure is Chuck, every word, including that part where he said "if you don't give it to us and the military doesn't give it to us, then I'll be proud to shut down the government for border security." I guess you missed the announcement that came out that same day from the Pentagon saying sure they'll build the wall, they have options under the law during national emergencies and to counter illegal drugs to build barriers to deal with both of those problems. Well, we've got two national emergencies, one an invasion of caravans at our borders creating national security, public health and economic threats as well as a deadly illegal drug operation smuggling fentanyl into this country over the same border that's killing thousands of Americans every month.

Trump will keep his word because he's a moral man of character. He won't blame you for the shut-down, because there won't be one. Instead he will blame you for much worse: failing to protect Americans from caravans of criminal diseased illegal invaders and thousands of tons of fentanyl killing their loved ones.

And he'll be 100% right to do so.

Why didn't Trump think of the military 2 years ago,and not put this nation through all this invasion for the past 2 years?

More talk and no action, like sending the military to stop the invasion, and already taking down the barbed they put up.

There was no national emergency last year. From the day he took office forward, illegal immigration dropped dramatically, especially on the southern border, lowest number of apprehensions at the southern border in years, even decades, so there was no way he could use the military under Title 10 law to build the barriers. Then things changed this spring, and he ordered up the 4,000 National Guard. Then it got worse and the national emergency arose this fall when these caravans were storming borders in 3 countries. That's when he declared the national emergency and ordered active military including Marines to the border with instructions to build the barriers to deal with it. He can only issue national emergency situations 90 days at a time to bypass Posse Comitatus.

Trump is a lot of things (some good and some bad), but I don't think anyone has ever mistaken him as a "moral man of character." Thanks for my Monday morning smile.

What needs to happen immediately is Trump needs to go live on all the major networks and take his case for the border wall and other immigration related legislation directly to the people. He needs to plead his case with statistical numbers, charts, and graphs. Show the people what is going on and make a personal appeal for them to contact their congressional representatives to demand our border be secured with a border wall and necessary legislation.

Time to get "we the people" more involved!

Also SHOW the graphs and costs of ALL the diseases pouring into our country and WE foot the bill for it!

Every State in our Nation is impacted by these foreigners!

Show the graphs of all the anchor babies and WE foot the bill for it.

Show the GRAPHIC pictures of the neighborhoods they destroy, our schools they destroy with their crime and graffiti and drugs and gangs!

Show the graphic pictures of them overcrowding OUR hospitals and medical facilities!


SHOW OUR SHRINKING PAYCHECKS THAT OUR GOVERNMENT IS FORCING US TO BE THE DUMPING GROUND AND ATM MACHINE FOR THE WORLD!

WHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION DOES IT SAY OUR TAX DOLLARS SHOULD BE SPENT ON FOREIGNERS! IT DOES NOT! JUST LIKE HEALTHCARE!

OUR MONEY THAT SHOULD PAY FOR OUR BILLS, OUR FAMILIES, OUR HOMES, OUR RETIREMENT SAVINGS!!!

Exactly! Every WH briefing a video should be running of the illegals climbing over, under, and squeezing through. Put up a video screen on WH lawn and run video 24/7/365 until Congress takes action. 30 minutes before the meeting with Chuck and Nancy he should have made an address from the Oval with video in background and laid out the stats to the American people, then had the meeting. He should go stand on the steps of Congress for 30 minutes every morning with cameras rolling, and catch both the R's and D's as they enter (especially the R's) and ask them when they are going to do something about the invasion. He should ask the citizens to write, call, and march if necessary.

He doesn't do any of these, but instead thumps his chest about stopping them and misleads the public . I've said it before and I will say it again, this type inaction, and the action he does take (love of DACA, we want lots of immigration, plane rides with Yoder) is so revealing of his true thoughts on illegals.

I know a moral man of character when I see one. If you don't, that's perfectly understandable.
