A shooting at Mi Rancho restaurant in Bemidji has left one person dead.

Officers say witnesses told them the business wasn't open at the time. They say a former employee forced his way in and started an argument. That lead to the shooting, killing the former employee.

Authorities have identified the suspect and is being interviewed at this time. They will not be releasing names until family is notified. The family lives in Mexico.

Police are saying there is no danger to the public. They have not filed charges at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
