WEST UNION (KWWL) -
The Fayette County Sheriff's office is investigating reports that a child was sexually abused by an illegal immigrant.

Pedro Ramon Candido, 41, of West Union was arrested Wednesday for two counts of sexual abuse.

An investigation by the sheriff's department has revealed Candido allegedly performed multiple sexual acts with an 11-year-old girl and then again with the same girl at the age of 12.

Candido is being held with out bond at the Fayette County Jail. The Department of Homeland Security Immigrations and Customs (ICE) helped determine Candido is in the country illegally.

The investigation remains open. Anyone with information on Candido is asked to all 563-422-6067.
