    They can try all they want, what is disheartening is the extent to which they see some success. If they tried this in Mexico, they'd get booted fast. Foreigners there are not allowed to try and influence politics.

    Like any negotiation, success happens when both sides see their interests are advanced even if not completely served. It is not as if it won't be beneficial to the US to get clarity either way on immigration law.

    On Mexico, no one is interested in even talking to Mexico because it doesn't matter as much in the world.
