Illegals and the minimum wage
Although the notion that the illegals only work the jobs Americans won't is false and always has been, does the current minimum wage feed the flow of illegals?Business chains of all kinds exploit the minumum wage although we know that just the fast food enterprise alone could afford to pay a wage more attractive to Americans than the minimum wage.On the other hand drastically raising the minimum wage might and probably would put a lot of small business owners out of business.Could a major change in the minimum wage help put illegals out of work and Americans into it?

Rick--good question. I don't think so. Remember, the reason for illegal immigration is not just cheap labor, it's to change the political power of the United States in order to dissolve the United States. When illegal immigration is stopped, then the legal normal process of supply and demand with some moral and ethical regulations will work just fine. Our laws and system have made us and kept us the greatest nation in the world and will continue to do so.
Everyone that is hiring illegals at minimum wage has at least a 3 to 1 applicant ratio of Americans 3 to 1 illegal alien. They choose the illegal alien....why? To impoverish the Americans and changhe the political power in the US to gain support for Open Borders.
Americans stand ready and available all across the country to do whatever work is required at wages based upon the law of supply and demand. That's our capitalistic system; it is the best sytem in the world; and all we need to do is:
ENFORCE OUR IMMIGRATION, LABOR AND CIVIL RIGHTS LAWS.
Americans aren't complaining about the minimum wage law.
Americans are complaining about not being able to get the jobs that pay minimum wage.
Eliminate the illegal labor supply and minimum wages will increase naturally throughout the economy based upon the law of supply and demand. Then it might be appropriate to raise the minimum wage to reflect wages being paid which avoids "undercutting". But not now, the economy is too fragile.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Even before the horde began to cross the border in its current mass the minimum wage was drastically out of step with the actual cost of living in America. It has helped create 2 new types of working class:those that work a 2nd job in order to have things such as new cars etc.(often in their budgets including the cost of illegal aliens working as land scapers,carpenters/painters,and nannies),and those that work a second just simply to meet basic needs. In both cases it's created a modern out of control population of youth across the country.

Minimum Wage will actually put more ILLEGALS to work. If you look at the history, the higher the MINIMUM WAGE {thanx to unions} the higher the UNION WAGE......goes hand in hand. Unions have priced themselves out of work in the big picture. Corporations pick up their toys and go play in another country every time this happens. Adds to the problem.
The higher the union wage, the more businesses use ILLEGALS.
Small businesses do go under when MW raises. Americans LOSE JOBS when the M. wage goes up.

All non-white collar unions across this state are dominated by illegals so they get hired either way.

Rick, we're talking about the Country, not just one state. We need to look at the entire picture as well as history and facts.

That is such a WRONG answer. Yes, in certain national sectors (such as hotel industry), I would belive 3 to 1 (US to illegal). However, in MOST businesses hiring illegals, it is probably closer to 2 illegals per citizen.
Look at the textile/garment industry. Several the main mgnt, and several shop floorman are US, the "workers" are illegals.
Even worse in food processing industry (meat packing here in NE). In that case, there might be 100-150 US, and 2500 illegals (that is NOT an overstatement ).
Also look at much "corp" construction. 10-20% US, and the rest are illegals. This would cover large landscaping, framing comanies, drywall, etc. Go out to where a large mall/convention center is being built. Put a reporter's cap on, and do a little interviewing (right after lunch hour is good). You will be SHOCKED.
