Where is Crocket, and what have you done with him?
How does that fail to square with my other opinions?

I don't think that your opinions have changed, but it seems like your writing style has changed recently. It caught me off guard.

Nah, that bogus claim that we need them to bus our tables and cook our food is just a hot-button issue that gets me riled.

In other words since the politicians have figured out a way of replacing us with a less independent more pliable type of people, we should just give in and let them do it! Well what do you expect from the San Francisco Communist press.

Rather than looking at millions of potential new voters, they should instead be looking at millions of Americans rebelling.

So Bamajdphd, what is your opinion about this article?

I happen to agree with CG. Americas youth have been choked out of their jobs. Illegals have taken their unskilled first-time jobs. Even the jobs college kids did, just to get by and not to be a burden on their parents, while they were bettering themselves. Ask anyone under 24 how competitive the job market is. It's very difficult for an 18 year old to "get out of the house" now and I put that blame on the cheap pool of illegal alien labor. Wasn't like that when I was a young.

Y'know, Dixie, even the jobs I used to do as a little kid have now been taken over by illegals. A primary example is lawn care. When I was in elementary school, a friend of mine and I teamed up on a lawn mowing route that eventually included over 20 yards. We used the money we earned to buy our first motorcycles (which were Honda Minitrails - closer to minibikes than actual motorcycles). That summer between 4th and 5th grade taught both of us about responsibility and the satisfaction of working to earn the things we wanted. A kid now is lucky to be able to find one or two yards in an entire neighborhood that is not either mowed by the owner or by a Hispanic (primarily illegal alien) yard crew.

I have no immediate opinon on the article. I'm still assembling facts and trying to learn -- and I don't go off half-cocked on anything.

When I have formed my opinions, fully buttressed by facts, I'll let you know.
