I guess a clarification is in order:
"On Aug. 31, U.S. District Judge Maxine M. Chesney issued a temporary restraining order pending an Oct. 1 hearing before Breyer, who was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1997 and is the sister of Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer."

They have 90 days to clear up any problems, thus no innocent people should be caught by this except as a temporary headache to take care of.

Now I do support San Francisco seceeding from the US, maybe they could join with, I don't know, North Korea maybe? We certainly should stop sending all our tax money there.

Don't be fooled by the head fake.
Chertoff said in a statement. He said the ruling was "another reminder of why we need Congress to enact comprehensive immigration reform."
No it's not. And Numbers USA and ALIPAC should get on top of this in a hurry. We need to tell the President that we understand he screwed up and he needs to fix it immediately. And, yes, he likely screwed up by design.
I haven't read the decision, so I don't know the whole story. The Judge issued a PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION. That means that DHS can't implement the current policy. BUT DHS can CHANGE the policy so that this Judge won't find it overly burdensome on employers and employees. Maybe allowing 120 days instead of 90 days. Or maybe providing an affidavit to be signed by the employee swearing he is who he says he is and that is his honest-to-God Social Security Number, with relevant personal information (place of birth, last employers, etc.) Anything that makes the workplace less of a free-for-all than it is today, helps.
And by the way, we've been sending these "No-Match" letters for years, we just haven't enforced violations. So why aren't every one of these businesses (or at least the worst of them) raided by ICE? And are these a matter of public record? Freedom of Information Act, anyone? If we knew which companies were getting these letters repeatedly, we as consumers could vote with our dollars and not buy from them. In Southern California, I tend to buy my burgers at In-N-Out, because I'm fairly confident the employees there are not illegal, whereas I'm fairly certain every other chain is loaded with WOBs.

Is there any way to bombard this Federal Judge with huge amounts of mail, Email, Faxes? This is rediculous.

I'll say this for Hillary.
I went to the official web sites for Clinton, Obama, and Edwards. Obama was the only one who had anything supporting "our country's need for comprehensive immigration reform." Clinton and Edwards are conspicuously silent on the issue. My cynical side tells me that Clinton is angling for the African-American vote (who hate the illegals as much as anyone.)
And another thing. I went to a town hall meeting for Representative Adam Schiff in Pasadena, CA. He remarked that illegal immigration is a very hot issue among his constituents, and that at a previous town hall meeting in Burbank, CA, he remarked that one-half of those present favored strict border enforcement BEFORE any type of comprehensive immigration reform. (or something to that effect.) Now, this is a district that votes close to 60% Democratic, it is more middle class than other ghetto areas of Los Angeles, it is more diverse racially than most areas (and truly diverse, not just "non-white.")
What's Rudy Giuliani's record of immigration enforcement? Yeah, that's what I thought.

120 days is too long would allow illegals to abuse an ssn and then move on to another ssn before his time is up so that they end up revolving ssn numbers with one another.
