LaRaza:Raids continue, so said Janet N, chief of DHS
This is not the best translation (he's mixed with she's). Has this been cited elsewhere about the raids continuing? I have to wonder when and where... The Washington Times said there was supposed to be a raid at a military base 10 minutes from my house recently. Plus our county sheriff applied for 287g -waiting to hear about that as well. Come on Janet!
Raids continue
So said Janet Napolitano, chief of the Department of Homeland Security

The operations of the Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the workplace will continue, Janet Napolitano said yesterday during his visit to Los Angeles.
As head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Napolitano made it clear that there will be no suspension of actions carried out to arrest undocumented workers and employers who violate labor laws when hiring.
Established, however, that the guidelines or protocols for ICE operations are still being reviewed.
"But make no mistake, we will continue to apply the law in the workplace, employees and employers will still have to be raised in these actions," said the federal officials at a press conference after conducting an overflight of recognition the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.
The review being carried out would lead to a change in the policies of operation, but that change will be more focused on having well-supported cases to arrest those who violate labor laws, he stressed the head of DHS.
"The change in emphasis, to ensure we are doing everything we can to take appropriate cases against those who consistently and intentionally used and exploited the labor market for their own gain, and we want to ensure coordination with the attorney to throughout the country to obtain evidence and to the conduct of search and arrest warrants, "he said.
On April 1, when Napolitano was on the border of Tijuana-San Diego to announce more resources for surveillance and security, had already anticipated that the budget for operations in the workplace would not be touched.
Right there, in San Diego, she said that new rules of operation of ICE would be ready in a week. 12 days have passed since then and yesterday said it would be ready "soon."
"Does that mean in a few days?" Was asked.
"Soon, soon, we're already in the final stage," he replied.
The budget for fiscal year 2009 for operations in the workplace is 34 million dollars, according to the fiscal report submitted at the ICE website. Official data indicate that the raid took place on May 12, 2008 in the meat packing Agriprocessors Inc. in Postville, Iowa, where they arrested nearly 400 workers, had a total cost of 5.2 million dollars.
"We are concerned that continuing the policies regarding the raids in the workplace will not be made public, we hope that DHS will be in a hurry, but at the same time emphasizing that follow are not the employers and employees who are the problem , "said Jorge Mario Cabrera, spokesman for the Coalition for Human Rights of Immigrants in Los Angeles (CHIRLA).
According to this activist, would be a grave mistake by arresting the DHS continue working people because the economy needs to move forward with the ailing economy.
For his part, Raul Murillo, director Hermandad Mexicana Nacional, an organization that is calling for a march in Los Angeles for the May 1, said the redirection of policies on the operations of ICE is not going to give solution to the problem and that what matters is legalization.
"While the DHS focuses more on the employers, this redirection of policy applies to employees, because they keep losing their jobs: what is needed is an immediate legalization for the 12 million undocumented, and only going to end this persecution and suffering of the families, "he said.
Thus he insisted that it was important for the community to participate in national marches are being organized to remind the president and Barack Obama promise to his immigration reform.
Janet Napolitano was in Los Angeles to review first hand the security measures are implemented both in the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.

Do I dare to think that Napolitano is more patriotic than she has been made out to be? As governor, everything I have read is that she sways with the political wind, half-way coddling poor illegals, while also demanding more border enforcement. Her selection of border czar seems pretty good. http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-153168.html

Screw Raul (And I am being nice). it only is about making illegal aliens more comfortable by halting all laws allowing illegal alien leeches to continue stealing identities to take jobs from Americans and fraudulently apply for and receive taxpayer benefits without putting one damn freakin dime into those programs. I am so absolutely sick and tired of illegal alien organizations from Mexico who have no legal right to be in this country and protest in front of this damned government demanding rights for those who consciously and deliberately violated our laws, borders, sovereignty and have children while illegally here at taxpayer expense and are placed ahead of those who respected our laws and policies by LEGALLY applying to become a part of the American fabric. Let those damn stinking illegal alien handlers herd their damned illegal alien leeches back to their own damn corrupt cesspools of countries and demand their governments improve the quality of their lives instead of degrading the quality of ours.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
