Patrick blasts Feds for New Bedford immigration raid

An angry Governor Deval Patrick blasted federal immigration officials today for a massive raid at a New Bedford leather manufacturer that left dozens of children without caregivers.

State officials are concerned that more children may still be in hiding because their parents or guardians never came home from work Tuesday. The roundup by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents that netted 327 immigrants working at Michael Bianco Inc., a waterfront factory in New Bedford that makes handbags and military backpacks.

Without the knowledge of the Patrick administration, immigration officials flew approximately 150 of the immigrants to Texas Wednesday night for formal deportation hearings. Administration officials said the federal government has refused requests by the state to halt additional flights.

"No one on my team is satisfied with that answer," Patrick said today in a press conference at the State House.

The federal government has agreed to fly suspected illegal immigrants back if it is determined that they are the primary caregiver for a child in Massachusetts, Patrick said.

Immigration officials on Wednesday defended the raid and said that agents interviewed each detainee several times to determine whether they had children and ensure they were being adequately cared for. On Tuesday night, 60 of the suspects were released on humanitarian grounds, most of them because they were the sole or primary caregivers of young children.

So idiot morons like this governer keep saying that immigration is a federal matter and they refuse to assist in any immigration enforcement at the state level, like this clown did by rescinding the former governer's plan to assist the feds in nabbing illegals. But when the feds do conduct a raid and apprehend illegals they scream and cry about it and demand an end to any further raids.

Amazing how when requesting enforcement against illegal aliens these dirt bag local officials pass the buck onto the feds. When the feds do their job these same local government jerks start complaining like their authority has been violated.

So does this mean that all U.S. citizens who get arrested for a crime will be released if they are the sole or primary caregivers of young children? On humanitarian grounds, that is?

Why are there all kinds of special rules for illegals only?

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to work 10 years to get Social Security, if you're an illegal, you only have to work 18 months.

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to pay taxes every year or get thrown in the can, but if you're an illegal, according to the proposed amnesty scam, you get to pick any 3 out of the last 5 years to pay taxes.

If you're a U.S. citizen you need to be a state resident to pay in-state tuition fees at college, but if you're an illegal you get in-state rates at almost any college.

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to show Social Security number, drivers' license and have perfect credit history to get a credit card at a B of A, but if you're an illegal you only have to show some Mexican Cracker Jack box Matricula to get a credit card.

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to show the ability to pay your bill if you need emergency care at the ER, but if you're an illegal you just show up ready to spew out an anchor baby and you never have to pay a single cent, ever.

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to be nearly homeless and have 10 forms of ID to get any public assistance, but if you're an illegal, you just walk in with your 14 Mexi-rugats and you get welfare, food stamps, WIC benefits, Medi-Care, etc., even if you have absolutely no ID whatsover.

If you're a U.S. citizen you need to pass a driver's test and must be able to read English road signs to get a drivers' license, must have liability insurance, maintain proper SMOG and have up to date registration for your car, but if you're an illegal you can ignore all of these, all you need is a fake ID to show any time you get stopped by the cops and they'll just let you go on your merry way.

If you're a U.S. citizen you have to live in a properly kept home with all safety and health code requirements, but if you're an illegal, you can live 40 people to a one bedroom apartment, with people sleeping in the closets, bathrooms and patios and everything's A-OK.

And the list goes on and on.

You get what you deserve Any state that keeps electing John Kerry and Ted Kennedy is beyond reason
