Mass. State Rep. Tips Off Illegals of Specific Date and Location of ICE Raids on Social Media

    Cristina Laila Mar 28th, 2017 7:04 pm

Massachusetts State Representative, Michelle Dubois took to Facebook to warn illegal aliens that ICE would be doing raids in the community of Brockton on Wednesday, March 29th.

Ms. DuBois even gave specific instructions to illegal aliens to stay inside ‘don’t go out on the street’ and if there was a knock on the door, not to answer the door.

Even if DuBois’ source isn’t accurate and ICE raids aren’t happening at this specific location and time, why is a State Rep. aiding and abetting illegal aliens? This is more proof that Democrats have contempt for law abiding, legal citizens and seek to protect the invaders who are raping and murdering Americans.

Illegal aliens are also a huge financial drain on our system, bogging down our schools and healthcare, but hey the Democrats need them as they are a huge precious voting block for them.

Why is this being allowed to happen?

Why can these people do this and not run afoul of the law.

Because they have no fear no one is charging any Government employees and they do what they feel like doing. No one is stopping them. They are all above the laws. This is what our Government has become corrupt and we all know it.

They expect local governments to cooperate with the feds on environmental law. And the Supreme Court just jackbooted states into submission on family law.

Also I agree there is no discipline for government officials when they break the laws of this country and their oath of office.

Mass. State Rep Caught Tipping Off Illegal Immigrants To Imminent ICE Raids

    CHRISTIAN DATOC
    Reporter
    2:29 PM 03/28/201706

Massachusetts state Rep. Michelle DuBois posted a warning to illegal immigrants on her Facebook page Tuesday about upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids that are rumored to be taking place in the area.

In the post, DuBois wrote, “ICE raid in Brockton (MA) on 3/28.”

“I got the following information from my friend in the Latin community: ‘I have a message for the immigrant community of Brockton. Please be careful on Wednesday 29. ICE will be in Brockton on that day.'”

“If you are undocumented don’t go out on the street,” DuBois, who represents the 10th district, added. “If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don’t know who it is, don’t open the door. I ask you to be careful.”

The Democrat included a phone number for immigrants to call if they are detained by ICE.

She also followed up her original post with a chart that explains “what to do if ICE comes to your door.”

After the original posts, DuBois received numerous comments criticizing her warning to immigrants.

“I am deleting attacks [on the original posts],” she wrote in one response to the criticism. “This post is to inform. Not debate immigration policy. It’s my page and I can delete posts.”

“This post is just to spread awareness of the seriousness of the new immigration policies instituted by Trump,” she wrote in an another response. “It should motivate those who can gain documentation to do so and others who can’t to start making a plan for the safety of their family.”

“I can send a message about a rumor to the people who live in my district,” she wrote in yet another.

Bristol County (MA) Sheriff Thomas Hodgson went so far as accusing DuBois’ actions of “completely [undermining] law enforcement” while testifying in Washington, DC on Tuesday.

Attempts to contact Rep. DuBois at the phone number listed on her office website instead redirected to the Massachusetts House Committee on Children and Family, where a staffer told The Daily Caller DuBois did not come into the office on Tuesday.

DuBois did supply TheDC with a lengthy statement via email:

“It is obvious that my Facebook post touched off a lot of unintended controversy.
I am an elected State Representative and the response to one facebook post has caused people from across the Nation to inundate my facebook page with some pretty ugly and threatening posts. If this is what happens to an elected representative – what must be happening to immigrants every day in our Nation, both documented and not documented.
I posted on my personal and public facebook page about a rumor about an ICE raid happening on two future dates. I had heard this rumor from several immigrants in the community.
There are many people in Brockton (documented and not) as well as people across this Nation who are terrified. This rumor of an ICE raid in Brockton was wide-spread in Brockton. There have been many ICE raids in the City.
Passing information along that is already all-over the community, not only lets the people I represent know what is happening, it lets ICE know that everyone in Brockton is aware of ICE’s planned raid (if there was one).
Having ICE know that this rumor is wide-spread in Brockton allows them to change the date if they feel the public’s knowledge of the raid would undermine their planned raid. So I do not agree with Sheriff Hodgson on his point that he made before a federal panel in WashingtonDC that my public facebook post in anyway undermines law enforcement.”

Massachusetts Republican Party Chairman Kirsten Hughes told TheDC, “Rep. DuBois has demonstrated a complete disregard for her constituents’ safety, and she should be ashamed of these reckless comments.”

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker’s office did not immediately return requests for comment on DuBois’ posts.

Democratic lawmaker not sorry for using Facebook to warn illegals of ICE raids

Massachusetts State Rep. Michelle DuBois is remaining unapologetic after her tip on Facebook about a rumored immigration raid irked federal officials. (WBZ)

By Jessica Chasmar - The Washington Times - Wednesday, March 29, 2017

A Massachusetts state representative is remaining unapologetic after her tip on Facebook about a rumored immigration raid irked federal officials.

State Rep. Michelle DuBois wrote on her Facebook page this week about a rumor she heard from her “friend in the Latin community” that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was planning a raid in Brockton on Tuesday and Wednesday.

She also included the friend’s warning, which read, “If you are undocumented don’t go out on the street. If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don’t know who it is, don’t open the door. I ask you to be careful.”

ICE officials later condemned the statement, saying the agency “does not conduct random sweeps” or release information about operations, The Boston Herald reported.

“Any person who actively incites panic or fear of law enforcement is doing a disservice to the community, endangering public safety and the very people they claim to support and represent,” ICE spokesman Shawn Neudauer said.

Ms. Dubois‘ comments created a firestorm on social media, but she refuses to apologize and insists that she wasn’t trying to obstruct justice.

“Passing information along that is already all over the community not only lets the people I represent know what is happening, it lets ICE know that everyone in Brockton is aware of their intended raid if there was one,” the Democrat told reporters Tuesday, a local CBS News affiliate reported.

Ms. DuBois also admitted that she did not contact ICE before disseminating the rumor.

“My comments were responding to a population who are already fearful of police,” she said, The Herald reported.

“Maybe [ICE] should be more open about their plans. … They should call me.”

Sessions Could Charge Democratic Politician With A Crime For Tipping Off Criminal Ill

Sessions Could Charge Democratic Politician With A Crime For Tipping Off Criminal Illegals About ICE Raid

    March 29, 2017
    By Robert Barnes

A Democrat legislator from Massachusetts tipped off suspected criminal aliens regarding a coming ICE raid. The fact that she did so, and how she did so, can be considered a criminal act. Attorney General Sessions can prosecute. Here is how.

As the Department of Justice Criminal Resource Manual for federal prosecutors apprises, the criminal law "makes it an offense" for anyone to "encourage" an alien to "reside" in the United States, when "knowing" the person's residence "will be in violation of law." "Aiding and abetting" such encouragement or illegal residence is also a federal crime. The law imposes a term of imprisonment up to five years in federal prison.

The statute reads as follows: a person violates 8 USC 1324 when he, "knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation" or "encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law."

One means of committing that crime is tipping off a suspect about a raid. Cases and headlines from around the globe reveal law enforcement officers charged with a crime for tipping off suspects about a potential raid.

After his inauguration, President Trump apprised ICE to focus on raiding locations of especially dangerous illegal aliens. Following Trump's orders, ICE began such raids over the last month. That is when a Democrat legislator decided to take the law into her own hands and add lawless resistance to the so-called "resistance" groups aligned against President Trump enforcing the will of the voters who elected him president.

Democrat legislator Michelle DuBois of Massachusetts posted the following on her Facebook page on March 27, 2017:

ICE raid in Brockton on 3/28 and 29th. If you get picked up by ICE call legal services direct line for immigration help: 774-488-5961. I got the following information from my friend in the Latin community: 'I have a message for the immigrant community of Brockton. Please be careful on Wednesday 29. ICE will be in Brockton on that day. If you are undocumented don't go out on the street. If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don't know who it is, don't open the door. I ask you to be careful.'

This opens the door to criminal prosecution on three fronts: first, tipping off suspects about the raid itself; second, advising suspects to take concealment actions that would avoid detection, such as "don't go out on the street" and "don't open the door," but "be careful" on the days of the raid, disclosing the likely methods of the raid in the process and enabling concealment for the purposes of continued illegal residency; and third, using her public office and public platform, with its implied access to inside information, to validate the raid's probability and the methods and means of evading it.

Indeed, one of the priority areas of enforcement for the FBI's Public Corruption unit is "combating the threat of public corruption" in the area of immigration, especially due to the country's vulnerability to "drugs and weapons trafficking, alien smuggling, espionage, and terrorism," which such illegal entry and residency poses.

Boston needs no reminder of the risk of immigrant-inspired terror. Given ICE's current focus of its raids on criminal aliens that pose a risk of safety to Americans, this tip-off wasn't for the gardener or the maid; it was for the dangerous criminal. Ask Rockville parents about that risk. Ask the friends and family of Kate Steinle. Ask Trump State of the Union invitee Jamiel Shaw. In their name, prosecute DuBois.

MA Sheriff Slams 'Irresponsible' State Rep Who Tipped Off Illegals About ICE Raid

    March 29, 2017

A Massachusetts sheriff testifying before Congress on Tuesday called for elected leaders of sanctuary cities to be arrested.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told members of the House Judiciary Committee that sanctuary cities have become "magnets" for illegal immigrants, some of whom are violent criminals.

“Our citizens would be safer if we never stopped enforcing immigration law and if we never formed or turned a blind eye toward sanctuary cities,” Hodgson said.

“If these sanctuary cities are going to harbor and conceal criminal illegal aliens from ICE, which is in direct violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Code, federal arrest warrants should be issued for their elected officials,” Hodgson declared.

Hodgson singled out Massachusetts State Rep. Michelle DuBois (D), who posted an online warning to illegal immigrants about an upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) "raid."

“This is the most outrageous, outrageous example of what is going on across the United States that is undermining my job and every other law enforcement officer in the United States,” Hodgson said.

Hodgson told Neil Cavuot that he "can't think of anything more irresponsible than what [DuBois] did. She ought to be ashamed of herself. She should be looked at for a minimum of ethics violations."

"I'm sure there's some review of whether or not she compromised some investigation involving ICE," he said.
