PHXnews Writer Lobo on 5/31 John McCain appeared at an event in Irvine, CA, at the Hyatt Regency.
The event was organized by the Hispanic 100, and some 325-350 participated, mostly entrepreneurs, elected officials, business and civic leaders of the Hispanic community.
Of course, the main issue was the Senate bill. McCain spoke at length about the "strength and vitality" the US has gained from its "immigrant heritage", their contribution to the economy, and the tragic loss of lives crossing the desert.
He also encouraged the Hispanic leaders to RISE UP, SPEAK OUT and support the bill.

I just got back from the protest in Dallas and this was the first thing I see. Ahhhhhhhh!
McCain is really out there. I think he is ill. This seems like a desperate act to hang onto the Hispanic vote. He may have been making promises that he just can not keep. Thanks to us!!!!!
McCain, don't make us randomly call everyone in Arazona and complain about you, to those that elected you?

This guy is a nut case!!!!! He has to go! What's this call to arms? Does he know who he's saying this too? Sounds like he's wanting more than just a rally in the streets.

I'm so sick of this guy, I could spit on him. And to think, a few years ago, I use to think this guy was my kind of Republican. McCain is toast, as far as I'm concerned. GRRRRRRRR!!!
Republican?? Hardly!!!
I'll be sending this link out, to all the Conservatives I know. And all the ones I know are already PO'ed over the illegal issue. This is just more fuel for the fire.
