Brownback says his stance on immigration could hurt him politically
Sen. Sam Brownback said today that his stance on immigration reform has hurt his potential bid for a presidential nomination.
Brownback said his support of a guest worker program has drawn fire from a broad group of people.
"For a lot of people, they thought this was not the right way to go," he said after giving a Washington update to about 150 Wichita business leaders at a Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
But Brownback, who said he has still not made a decision about running for president in 2008, maintained that his opinion on immigration reform has been long-standing and that the American economy needs millions of immigrant workers who often cross the border illegally.

Prime example of why the Republican party is nicknamed the Stupid party. So this guy is willing to committ political suicide because of his emense addiction to cheap labor. Well if he wants to kill his political career then lets accomodate his wishes shall we. If he wants to give the middle finger to us then lets give it right back.

im one of those people harrasing him. I spent most of last night on the phone to friends back in KS telling them to call him. I think he is getting the message that if he does vote for guest worker program he is gonna go bye bye.
now that he has revealed nation intentions i think everyone here should call him and tell them they will not support his pres. bid if he votes for this.
