DEL RIO - Border Patrol agents working in Del Rio apprehended more than 90 undocumented immigrants Saturday as they tried to cross a weir dam near Del Rio.

The large group included many women and children.

According to Border Patrol agents, "Weir dams are extremely dangerous as they appear safe, but the circulating currents they create pose a high risk of drowning and make rescue very dangerous and difficult."
