    A Haw River man who was charged Monday with stealing the identity of a Burlington man was previously deported to Mexico by federal authorities, officials with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department said.

    Deputies charged Mario Sosa-Cruz, 41, at his Burlington job with using the Social Security number of Daniel Rodezno Brizuela, of Hyde Street, in Burlington.

    Can you imagine having to straighten out things like this done to your identity? I have read horror stories.

    The claim by a judge that employers couldn't check out the no match letters because the SS system was in such a mess many American citizens would be fired should have caused great concern by our government - and people. Apparently not.

    Just think about it - everything in this country just about uses your SS# for identification and if that system has been so totally fouled up, it can't be used to check these out?

    Actually, that might just be an exeraggeration by the judge - or it could just be true.

    There are a lot of illegals here - 12-20 million. That's means quite a few million that are using either made up ID's or they are using someone else's ID. That could make for a lot of people's records being wrong.
