It does not state the immigration status of any of these men, BUT the Raleigh N&O and WRAL "shield" us from that info on a regular basis! There are pictures at the link.

Nashville, N.C. — Two men face charges after they allegedly posed as police officers and took a Rocky Mount man hostage, Nash County sheriff said Monday.

Javier Vera Gonzales, 27, of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Rivera Jaimes Rigoberto, 30, whose address was unknown, each face once count of first-degree kidnapping, extortion and felony conspiracy.

Sheriff Dick Jenkins said the two men kidnapped Angel Mendoza-Valdovinos, 26, from his home on Wednesday and later demanded $80,000 from his wife.

"The victim went to the door. He opened the door, let them in. They took him down, handcuffed him and took him out," Jenkins said.

The suspects were arrested Saturday. Authorities are looking for two more suspects.

Jenkins said Mendoza-Valdovinos was targeted because his brother owes drug dealers in Mexico a large sum of money.

Both suspects were each in the Nash County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center Monday evening under a $200,000 bond. Their first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
