It's a nice attempt at creating a cost disincentive to hire illegal aliens, but I would rather see prosecutions for all persons who file W-2's and payroll taxes on people without social security numbers plus a fine that would bankrupt their business. Employers know when an employee uses a TIN instead of a Social Security number that something is very wrong. There was an article several years ago posted by one of the major newspapers in New York City, it may have been the Daily News, anyway it investigated this issue and found that at that time, illegal aliens were paying approximately $8 billion a year in federal tax revenue, most of it going towards Social Security. I imagine that amount is about the same today. Well, this $8 billion doesn't even cover the cost of educating their kids in our public school system, let alone the cost of welfare services, unemployment insurance costs for the millions of American workers they've displaced, the increased poverty amongst Americans due to the unemployment and deflated wages, the increased crime, burdens on health care facilities, and on and on and on and on.

So we'll be hundreds of billions ahead to arrest illegal employers, lock 'em up, and throw away the key for 10 years and house them with the illegal aliens they hired until the illegal aliens serve their time and are deported.
