If the killer was a white American, Sharpie would not waste a second showing his a$$(face) on TV

I was thinking the same thing. Rev. Al needs to be 'enlightened'. That's why I'm posting comments after every news article I come across about these killings asking for him to stand up and fight with us against illegal alien killers like Carranza. Hopefully he will feel some 'heat' from the Black community as well.[/quote]

NEWARK, N.J. -- An illegal immigrant accused in the execution-style deaths of three students pleaded not guilty to the crimes Friday.

Jose Carranza, 28, of Peru, surrendered directly to Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker Thursday, and was arraigned Friday morning.

Carranza was being held on $1 million bail. He turned himself in after his fingerprints were lifted from a bottle found near where four college students were shot behind a Newark school on Saturday. Three were killed but a fourth survived and was hospitalized.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in the case on Wednesday night. Both suspects face charges of murder, attempted murder and a host of other charges.

Al Sharpton only cares about himself. We have a big problem with black on black murders in South Florida and he won't do nothing to save his own people. Why would he do anything about illegals unless an illegal kills a black and he can scream racism.

He already had a record as a child molestor
yet was FREE?? What is wrong with our government?

This story hurts my heart. Such promising young lives
gone b/c of someone in the country who shouldn't have
been here in the first damn place. I'm so sick of this...
they disobey our laws and feel as if they are ENTITLED
to be here. Don't be surprised if there's a new
race wars in Jersey ... this isn't the end of it.

    Hi RedWhiteandBlueLatino,
Most senators (especially Hillary) arrogantly and disrespectfully demand and expect all voters to embrace and welcome illegals with amnesty, citizenship, and our jobs/livelyhoods.

Any senate staff officials read this website?

    ________________________________________________

"Senators, lead by example. Show your devotion and dedication to your illegal "constituents!" Arrange for your daughters and grand-daughters to date members of the elite of the illegals - the MS-13s."

Most senators expect voters to tolerate rape, murder, home invasions, and every felony crime on the books. The senate's war against America's middle class is expanded to include rape and homicide. Illegals are their weapon of choice.

The senate's subservience to Jimmy Carter's Council on Foreign Relations is obvious.

What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

    KEY SUSPECT GIVES UP
Orange man is one of two held in Newark triple slaying
    Friday, August 10, 2007
BY JONATHAN SCHUPPE AND MARK MUELLER
    Star-Ledger Staff
An accused child rapist and a teenage boy have been charged in the execution-style killings of three college students in a Newark schoolyard, a crime that has badly shaken New Jersey's largest city since the weekend.

The arrests came during a dramatic 13-hour span capped by the older suspect's negotiated surrender yesterday to Mayor Cory Booker outside offices housing the police department's homicide squad.

Jose Carranza, a 28-year-old Orange resident described as the "principal suspect" in the Saturday night attack, turned himself in just after noon yesterday. The 15-year-old boy, who lives a short distance from the school where the killings took place, had been arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow said her office will seek an adult trial for the teen, whose name The Star-Ledger is withholding because he is a minor.

Booker, Dow and Newark's police director, Garry McCarthy, said they were confident of additional arrests in the days ahead. Authorities have said up to five people took part in the attack behind Mount Vernon School, in the city's quiet Ivy Hill section.

"We believe that others were involved in this heinous crime," Dow said. "We're looking for them."

Two law enforcement officials with knowledge of the investigation said detectives were seeking to question another adult and two more juveniles. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to address the media.

The shooting's lone survivor, 19-year-old Natasha Aeriel, remained hospitalized yesterday under police protection. Killed in the attack were Aeriel's 18-year-old brother, Terrance Aeriel, and two friends, Dashon Harvey and Iofemi Hightower, both 20.

The four, who were planning to attend Delaware State University this fall, had gone to the elementary school to listen to music and hang out when they were attacked.

Each was shot in the back of the head, and Hightower had suffered extensive defensive wounds, inflicted with a large knife or machete, on her arms and head. Page 2 of 4
Authorities said Carranza, a native of Peru, is suspected to have fired one or more of the killing shots, though investigators remained uncertain whether the handgun had been passed among the suspects.

Carranza and the Newark teen were charged with murder, attempted murder, robbery, weapons offenses and conspiracy. Dow said the killings are not believed to be gang-related.

Wearing a black "Hulkamania" T-shirt, a handcuffed Carranza was escorted into Newark police headquarters yesterday afternoon. A judge later set bail at $1 million for the suspect, who will appear in court today, Dow said.

The teen was held pending a detention hearing in Essex County Family Court.

Carranza, who lives on Lakeside Avenue in Orange with his wife and a daughter described as 1 or 2 years old, was facing two sets of criminal charges even before police identified him as a suspect in the Newark triple murder.

Court records show he was charged with aggravated assault and weapons counts stemming from a bar fight last October.

In the more serious case, he was charged under an alias, Jose Larchire, with repeatedly raping a girl over a four-year period.

The assaults began when the child was almost 5 years old, according to an indictment handed up last month. The alleged attacks ended in January. Carranza was free on bail and awaiting trial in both criminal cases when he turned himself in yesterday.

Carranza's brother, Jesus Larchire, insisted yesterday his brother had nothing to do with the murders. That Carranza turned himself in, instead of fleeing the country, should be an indication of his innocence, said Larchire, who lives a few houses down from Carranza.

"One hundred percent, I know he is innocent," the brother said.

Carranza's immigration status was unclear yesterday.
    TELLING FINGERPRINT

Carranza became a person of interest early in the probe, based on a fingerprint lifted from a beer bottle at the scene of the killings and run through a State Police database of known criminals.

Detectives then included Carranza's picture in a photo array and presented it to Natasha Aeriel, who identified him as one of the attackers and gave investigators a videotaped interview.

Armed with that information, dozens of officers fanned out in search of Carranza Wednesday night, visiting his home in Orange and other spots he was known to frequent. It was during the manhunt that investigators learned of Carranza's connection to the 15-year-old boy in Newark.

"As a result of going to various locations, some hard work and a little bit of fortuitous events, it put us in a position to ... develop some more leads, which led to this particular juvenile," said McCarthy, the police director.

Dow said Carranza and the youth are not related, but four neighbors of the teen, including a longtime family friend, said the two are known as cousins.

Whether bound by blood or not, the two sometimes hung out together, said one of the two law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity. With detectives at his front door, the boy agreed to come to police headquarters for questioning, admitted his participation and was charged, the official said.

Meanwhile, Carranza, aware police were hunting for him, contacted a lawyer, Felix Lopez-Montalvo, who had represented him in the past and who was friendly with Booker and other city officials, the mayor said yesterday.

As Booker announced the arrest of the 15-year-old at a news conference yesterday morning, Lopez-Montalvo phoned Booker's chief of staff, Pablo Fonseca, to begin negotiating Carranza's surrender. A few minutes later, Lopez-Montalvo spoke with Booker.

"Mr. Mayor, he'd like to be turned in directly to you," Lopez-Montalvo said.Page 4 of 4
Booker said he replied: "Let's find a spot. Where are you?"

The pair settled on Franklin Street, outside the homicide offices and not far from Newark City Hall. Lopez-Montalvo drove up and Carranza exited the car, Booker said.

"I had absolutely nothing to say to this individual," said Booker, the anger apparent in his voice as he recounted the meeting. "He said no words whatsoever."

    'MY CITY WILL HEAL'

The two arrests brought a palpable sense of relief to the mayor, who had appeared increasingly weary and defensive as the week wore on. Booker, who based his campaign for office last year on cutting violent crime, seemed to regain his stride yesterday.

He praised Natasha Aeriel's "incredible courage" for helping with the investigation from her hospital bed, and he said he believed the remaining killers would be caught.

And while he acknowledged the high-profile case had taken a personal toll on him and his city, he said he believed Newark would overcome the high-profile crime.

"I really cannot express what I feel, as mayor of the city, about what they've done to harm the fabric of the community," Booker said. "But I know that my city will heal and that it will be stronger in the future."

ALSO THE ASBURY PARK PRESS MAKES ONLY A ONE LINE STATEMENT!

Suspect in killings of 3 college students pleads not guiltyPosted by the Asbury Park Press on 08/10/07
    BY JANET FRANKSTON LORIN

NEWARK — A suspect accused of murdering three college students and wounding a fourth pleaded not guilty on Friday to the crimes.

Speaking through a Spanish interpreter, Jose Carranza said he understood the charges against him. It was his first court appearance since he surrendered Thursday to Mayor Cory A. Booker.

Carranza, an Orange resident, could barely be heard in the courtroom, as Booker and relatives of the victims looked on. Carranza wore an orange prison jumpsuit, and his hands were cuffed in front of his body.

Bail was continued at $1 million for Carranza, and state Superior Court Judge Michael R. Casale ordered that the suspect be held apart from other inmates at the Essex County Jail for his protection.

Carranza's lawyer, Felix Lopez Montalvo, declined to comment after the 11-minute hearing.

A second suspect, a 15-year-old boy, pleaded not guilty Thursday and remains in custody, Assistant Essex County Prosecutor Thomas McTigue said Friday. Authorities are seeking to have the boy tried as an adult.

The shootings ratcheted up anger in New Jersey's largest city, where overall crime has declined but where the number of killings continued at last year's pace with 60 homicides so far this year. The killings have prompted billboards in the downtown area that scream, "HELP WANTED: Stop the Killings in Newark Now!''

Authorities said the hunt continued for others involved in the execution-style killings.

"We believe there are other suspects out there,'' Essex County Prosecutor Paula T. Dow said after the arraignment.

The arrests of Carranza and the teen were disclosed Thursday in a series of dramatic events, which included the direct involvement of the mayor.

On Wednesday night, police arrested the 15-year-old from Newark. Then, during a news conference Thursday announcing that arrest and the search for Carranza, Booker got word that Carranza wanted to surrender.

Hours later, Carranza, hands cuffed behind his back and wearing a black "Hulkamania'' T-shirt and light-colored shorts, was escorted into police headquarters via a back door. He did not respond to questions as he was taken inside.

When Carranza, 28, surrendered, "He said no words whatsoever,'' Booker said. In turn, "I had absolutely nothing to say to this individual.''

Booker said Carranza had at least three prior arrests and was facing an aggravated assault charge in a separate case.

According to court records, Carranza was indicted by grand juries in New Jersey twice this year -- in April on aggravated assault and weapons charges; and in July on 31 counts which included aggravated sexual assault of a child under 13 years old and endangering the welfare of a child he had a duty to supervise.

Questions have been raised about why Carranza, who is from Peru and was residing in the country illegally, was released after the previous charges.

Authorities do not believe the four victims knew the assailants before encountering them Saturday. Carranza and the teen are not related, Dow said, but she didn't elaborate on how they knew each other. The teen's name was not released because of his age.

The four victims, friends aged 18 to 20, were shot while visiting in a school yard not far from their homes Saturday night. Authorities have said robbery appeared to be the motive.

Terrance Aeriel, 18, Dashon Harvey, 20, and Iofemi Hightower, 20, were forced to kneel against a wall and were shot at close range. The fourth victim, 19-year-old Natasha Aeriel, Terrance Aeriel's sister, survived a wound to her head and is hospitalized.

Despite being under sedation for periods of time, Natasha Aeriel was able to help
authorities identify the suspects, the mayor said.

Officials said fingerprints on a bottle found at the shooting scene and ballistics evidence tied Carranza to the crime. Carranza and the teen were charged with three counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, and other charges.

Police Director Garry F. McCarthy declined say if authorities had determined who fired shots and what kind of weapon or weapons were used.

Residents and law enforcement organizations donated $150,000 to a reward fund for information on the case. A fund has also been set up to aid victims' families.

All four victims were planning to attend Delaware State University this fall. Instead,
three were to be buried Saturday in separate services.

"The Truth About The Illegal Invasion:"

----Some 325,000 criminal illegal aliens will be incarcerated in state and federal prisons this fiscal year.

----Illegal aliens commit 12 murders every day in the U.S. and kill another 13 daily through drunk driving incidents. That's more than 9,000 people killed every year by illegal aliens.

---On average eight children are sexually abused by illegal aliens every day -- that's over 2,920 annually.

-------And that's just a small portion of the illegal alien crime wave.

....... 4.1 million crimes committed by illegal aliens.

---More people are murdered by illegal aliens in one year than have been killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars since their inception.

---A GAO study found that illegal aliens commit, on average, 12.6 criminal
    acts.

----This means incarcerated illegal aliens have committed over 4.1 million crimes.

----that does not include illegal alien criminals who are not incarcerated.

---According to Congressional sources thousands of illegals are coming from terrorist and suspect nations and they are bent on killing Americans.

These people should be thrown out of our country subito.

Why would he do anything about illegals unless an illegal kills a black and he can scream racism.
It IS an illegal alien who E-X-E-C-U-T-E-D the 3 Black kids in Newark. That's what this is about!
I personally would feel no more outrage if they had been White, Asian, or any other ethnicity/race. The fact that Jose Carranza, an illegal alien from Peru, executed these AMERICAN kids fuels my fury. The fact that these American kids were Black should fuel Al Sharpton and other Black leaders outrage AGAINST illegal immigration. This isn't the first time this has happened and it certainly won't be the last--as long as there are illegals in this country there will be murders, rapes, and hosts of other terrible crimes committed against AMERICANS.

Al Sharpton is NOT my favorite person. I think he's a media hungry idiot who truly only cares for himself. But he has a HUGE following within his race. All I'm saying is I WISH he would step up and raise some hell about these killings. At least this time he would have a legitimate reason to open his mouth .
