I think that we need to hold the government accountable for all of the deaths that occur on our highways due to illegal immigration. Can we sue the government for being negligent? Even if the driver had a license, it probably isn't legit.

Many times they use a driver's licenses from whatever country they came from even if its expired. In many states a Mexican driver's license or any other foreign driver's license is not considered a valid unless the person is a tourist. Last year a Miami Dade officer and I pulled over an elderly man who ran a stop sign and also had burnt our brake lights. When the officer asked the man for his driver's license he had an old Columbian driver's license that expired years ago.
Many times they buy plates from people in state or out of state and use them on their car and obviously either don't renew them or possibly steal the sticker off other cars. That is a problem and I tell people when they put them on to put little cuts on it and that way if some tried to steal it comes apart and can't be used. Often if those people get pulled over the officer will have the plate run and it comes back as not assigned to a vehicle or driver.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

What happens to these people? Are they arrested? Do they get treated any differently than a US citizen? I feel like we have to walk on needles and pins while others break the law multiple times without repercussions. It's like the gang members who promote hatred and display their tattoos openly. Are they an asset to society? They are in jail, out of jail, in jail, out of jail. In the meantime, you may have a law abiding citizen who has been taunted for quite some time by people who have intent to harm. Often times they call law enforcement for help, and no one helps them. Finally, when they can't take any more, they snap, and the government makes an example out of the. Where is the justice?

McKelvy said one Hispanic has been issued misdemeanor citations six times for driving with no driver’s license. The maximum fine is $500 for each offense.

Gray parrot: You are right. They just don't pay and move elsewhere. Since many don't even have fake ID or if they do they just get another one and move on.

Gofe; it is not only the illegals but some legals also don't pay and keep driving. It is hard to control.

It would be nice to know just how many of those 3 million "amnested" from '86 are in jail or what they are doing now. If we knew, then we would have a "crystal ball" for what the 30 million + will do if they are "anointed" with "BushOil".
