French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said police raids were meant to send the message that “enemies of the Republic” would not enjoy “a minute’s respite.”
Imagine how embarrassed Darmanin will be when he discovers that the death penalty for blasphemy is not “extremist,” but is part of mainstream Islam.

The French school teacher beheaded in an Islamist terror attack on Friday had a ‘fatwa’ launched against him before he was killed, France’s interior minister said today.
Gerald Darmanin said an arrested preacher and a father who complained about the teacher’s use of Prophet Mohammed cartoons had ‘clearly launched a fatwa’, or Islamic religious ruling, against teacher Samuel Paty.
French police today raided the homes of dozens of suspected militants in a crackdown which Darmanin said was intended to send a message that ‘enemies of the Republic’ will not enjoy ‘a minute’s respite’.
Darmanin told Europe 1 radio that police operations were continuing against ‘dozens of individuals’ after 11 people were arrested over the weekend and Emmanuel Macron vowed new measures against extremism.
The father, Brahim Chnina, whose 13-year-old daughter went to Paty’s secondary school, had launched an online call for ‘mobilisation’ against the teacher and had sought his dismissal from the school over the cartoons.
Chnina had named Paty and given the school’s address in a social media post just days before the assault, which Macron labelled an Islamist terror attack.
In addition, his half-sister is known to have joined ISIS in 2014, although her current whereabouts are unknown.
Prosecutors have not said whether the attacker, 18-year-old Chechen extremist Aboulakh Anzorov, had any links to the school or acted independently upon the online outrage, but several of his relatives have been arrested.
According to Le Monde, Anzorov had tried to bribe students with hundreds of euros for information about the teacher, with a 15-year-old pupil apparently among those arrested. The boy ‘absolutely denies knowing what Anzorov was going to do,’ said an investigating source.
Darmanin said there were about 80 investigations under way into online hate speech in France and that he was looking into whether or not certain groups from the French Muslim community should be dissolved….
It has been revealed that Islamist terrorist Anzorov filmed himself killing and then beheading Paty outside the gates of his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine before sharing a video of the victim’s severed head to fellow ISIS supporters.
Investigators believe ‘support for ISIS and other links to extreme Islamism’ prompted Anzorov to approach the Bois-d’Aulne school with weapons including a 14-inch kitchen knife and an air pistol.
Anzorov had travelled 50 miles from his home in Evreux to get to the school, where Mr Paty taught history and geography….

Machete-Wielding Man Arrested In Central Paris As France Braces For Copycat Attacks

France is in a continued state of 'high security alert' after a series of Islamist terror attacks rocked the country leaving multiple innocent bystanders dead and wounded. Other European countries too have increased security given the latest mass shooting by jihadists roving the streets and randomly killing in a Jewish neighborhood of Vienna Monday night.
And now on Tuesday French police descended on a hotel to apprehend a man who had been seen walking the streets of central Paris wielding a machete. Local reports said the man barricaded himself inside the building.
Multiple witnesses had called police when at around 11:30am they saw "a man armed with a machete in the corridors of the Metro at Père-Lachaise station," according to a Paris police spokesman.

The incident was enough for police to shut down the entire street after the man was seen entering a hotel. The hotel was surrounded with snipers positioned on surrounding buildings.
It's unclear at this point if he attempted to attack or swing it at anyone, but it understandably caused momentary panic in the area, given last month's beheadings. So far there's been no reports of victims, while police said the investigation is ongoing.

One eyewitness was cited in a UK media report as saying

"There's a guy walking through the halls of Père Lachaise with a machete. I watched my life pass, not knowing if I should stay in the metro or run back."

No doubt police are taking no chances and it's likely that anyone seen brandishing a weapon in public, especially something like a long blade or sword, will trigger a full emergency SWAT response.
On Monday night four people were killed in Vienna when terrorists began random killings in the center of the city. One gunman was still at large hours after the terror attack and was being pursued by police and military.

His uncle says, “If he were still alive, I would have asked him: ‘Why did you do that? What was going on your head?’ He must have been influenced by someone.'”
Well, yes, he must have been. He has apparently been in France since he was six. Has his mosque been investigated? Do authorities know what is taught there? Are authorities aware of what are the prevailing attitudes and assumptions in the community where he lived? Why not?

Why did he come to Europe? This demonstrates yet again the folly of admitting large numbers of Muslim migrants without making any attempt to vet them. But even if European authorities had tried to vet this man, it is unlikely that they would have discovered anything, because their dogmatic belief that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism would have led them to ask the wrong questions.

A Tunisian man who killed three people in a church in France only recently arrived in Europe, officials say.
The suspect, 21, had an Italian Red Cross document, issued after he arrived on the Italian island of Lampedusa by migrant boat last month.
He was shot by police and is in a critical condition. One of the victims was “virtually beheaded”, said the French chief anti-terrorism prosecutor.
President Emmanuel Macron said it was an “Islamist terrorist attack”….
In another development, a 47-year-old man believed to have been in contact with the attacker was detained by police late on Thursday, French media reported….
The suspect in the attack in Nice was heard repeatedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest) before being shot by police.
A Koran, two telephones and a 30cm (12-inch) knife were found on the attacker, said chief anti-terrorist prosecutor Jean-François Ricard.
“We also found a bag left by the attacker. Next to this bag were two knives that were not used in the attack,” he added….

If all these relatives of the jihad murderer have been arrested, this suggests that the beheading was planned carefully and in concert with his family and others (the parents of a child at the school were also arrested). This family apparently migrated from Chechnya. Was any effort made when they entered France to determine their views toward the freedom of speech, and adherence to Sharia blasphemy laws? Of course not. Such inquiries would have been “Islamophobic.”

Here we go yet again. This is how this narrative, which we see after every jihad massacre, works. When Muslims murder infidels, Muslims are the victims. Any measures taken in the wake of the jihad massacre to prevent Muslims from massacring infidels in the future is a sign of “collective punishment” and “Islamophobia.” Always and in every situation, Muslims are victims, to be appeased and accommodated in every possible way, and every counterterror measure, no matter how mild, is a step toward “stigmatising and criminalising Muslim communities.” Even discussion of how jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to recruit peaceful Muslims and justify violence must be shut down, as it supposedly endangers innocent Muslims. Non-Muslims in the West fall for this propaganda initiative every time, which is why it keeps on being used.

Paris, France – The gruesome killing of a teacher by an 18-year-old suspect of Chechen origin is testing the country’s fragile relationship with its Muslim minority, with growing fears of collective punishment….
In the days after the killing, the government launched a crackdown against Muslim organisations while vigilante groups have attacked mosques; places of worship in Beziers and Bordeaux have been placed under police protection after having been threatened with violence.
Tensions between the state and France’s Muslims, the largest Muslim minority in Europe, have deepened.
They were already on a downward trend after Macron, on October 2, launched a plan against what he called “Islamist separatism” and said Islam was “in crisis” across the world.

But there are more surprising names on the list.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin has proposed to ban the Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), an association that tracks anti-Muslim hate crimes, in a move that more than 50 civil society groups and academics have warned against.
In an interview with French radio station Europe 1, Darmanin lambasted CCIF as an “enemy of the republic”, adding it was one of several organisations he would dissolve at Macron’s personal request.
CCIF condemned Darmanin’s language as slander, stating the government was “criminalising the fight against Islamophobia”….
But there are fears recent government actions contribute to a discourse that endangers Muslim lives.
“What is going in France at the moment is unprecedented,” activist and co-founder of CCIF, Marwan Muhammed wrote on Twitter last week. “Fundamental freedoms are at stake, as the government is focused on stigmatising and criminalising Muslim communities.”…

The jihad against Europe by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is probably based on both ideology and opportunism. Fierce anti-Western rhetoric is an ideological sine qua non for Turkish political Islam; it is also a secure vote-catcher targeting conservative and nationalist masses.



Erdoğan's jihadism is not seasonal or a newfound system of political ideas. It is also not a reflection of peaceful sufism. Erdoğan comes from the ranks of Turkey's militant political Islamism that emerged in late 1960s under the leadership of the ideologue, Necmettin Erbakan, Turkey's first Islamist prime minister and Erdoğan's mentor. In Erbakan's rhetoric universal politics is simply about a struggle between the righteous (Islam) and a coalition of Zionists and racist imperialists -- all else is just details. In his thinking, the Zionists support Turkey's membership in the European Union in order to "get Turkish Muslims to melt in a pot of Christianity."

In a 2016 speech, Erdoğan talked of European countries: "These are not just our enemies... Behind them are plans and plots and other powers." Also in 2016, he said that jihad is never terrorism. "It is resurrection.... It is to give life, to build... It is to fight the enemies of Islam." In 2017, Erdoğan added that the German government's actions resembled those of Nazi Germany.
Last month, the Gaza-based leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Dawood Shihab, said that Turkey was the bravest Muslim country to fight French President Emmanuel Macron's hostility toward Muslims. Turks thought flattering words from PIJ were not enough crucify an infidel disguised as the president of a big European nation.

The sultan speaks: "What is Macron's problem with Islam? What is his problem with Muslims? Macron needs some sort of mental treatment." Erdoğan apparently thinks that Macron has gone clinically insane because the French president vowed to crack down on radical Islamism in France, after the country was shaken by the beheading of history teacher Samuel Paty on October 16.
Erdoğan also accused the West of supplying arms to one of the warring parties only, Armenia, in the most recent military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Nevertheless, a bit hypocritically, Erdoğan is also proud that Turkey has been equipping the Azeri military with drones, various other weapons systems and training.
Middle Eastern politics is always a trap for radical ideologues. In Erdoğan's mindset, the "infidel West" is militarily helping Armenia (the evil) and Turkey is militarily helping Azerbaijan (the righteous). Fine. What other nation is militarily helping Azerbaijan? A nation on the side of the righteous? Israel, a country Erdoğan deeply hates.

In 2016, Azeri President Aliyev said that his country acquired military equipment worth $4.85 billion from the Jewish state. An Azeri presidential advisor has said that Azerbaijan, in Nagorno-Karabakh, was using Israeli-made drones, including so-called "suicide drones" that can destroy a target on impact. So, Turkey and Israel are equipping the same military which is in an armed conflict with another.
That unwanted coincidence, however, will not deter Erdoğan's jihadist ambitions. From a report in late October:

"Western intelligence agencies have revealed that Hamas' leadership has been operating a second clandestine office in Istanbul for cyber operations and counter-espionage against its enemies, including the Palestinian Authority and Hamas dissenters...
"The Hamas headquarters were established approximately two years ago in order to purchase equipment that can be used to manufacture weapons, to implement cyber-attacks against enemies, including embassies of hostile Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East and Europe, and even against the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, as well as for surveillance and cracking down on dissenting members within its own ranks."

Turkey's latest jihadist export zone appears to be the Caucasus: Nagorno-Karabakh, to be specific. Although Ankara and Baku categorically deny accusations, press reports and independent human rights observers have confirmed the arrival of hundreds of jihadists in Azerbaijan to fight Armenia. Hydrocarbon-rich Azerbaijan could surely afford thousands of fighters, not just hundreds. But that could also mean angering Moscow which, as Azeris know very well, will not do any good to their infant state.
After the Turkish military's direct armed engagement on Iraqi and Syrian territories, proxy wars in Syria, Libya and Yemen, and military tensions on the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, Erdoğan's new jihadist adventurism has found a new theater of war in the Caucasus. What's next?
