The San Mateo Community College District, on the San Francisco Peninsula, has sent a mass email announcing a scholarship for "undocumented" students of "Chicano / Latino descent" only. Here is the full text of an ungrammatical email sent yesterday, proudly announcing the boon solely for those who do not follow the immigration laws of our country. Oddly enough, they see nothing wrong with requiring their own documentation.

CORE (Chicano Organizing & Research in Education) is pleased to announce its first annual "Que Llueva Café" scholarship. Applicants must be undocumented, Chicano/Latino, high school students entering college this fall. The postmark deadline is April 10, 2009.

Is this is a scholorship based entirely on race?

Americans continue to lose their jobs, homes, health care, pensions and many more are forced to pull their kids from school because they can't afford the tuition. Many more are denied seats because they are forced to compete with those who have NO legal right to be here for a limited number of those seats. Anyone willing to bet this is where those stimulus dollars are going? Are you watching "Sheriff Biden"? I didn't think you were as you are only concerned if these dollars are given to Americans which you call waste and abuse you corrupt socialist hockey puck........

ICE should be able to subpoena all the applications and toss out the entire families. This is absolutely disgusting.

Outrageous! This is not only racist but its aiding and abetting illegal immigrants. How dare they offer them scholarships when Americans are having difficulty paying or getting loans for college.

They will get away with it until someone LEGALLY confronts them.

When I was applying for college I went after as many as I could. To increase my odds.

It would be very interesting if patriots and Americans, of any race, applied for this scholarship. I think we need some 'rejection letters' to make others aware of this selective opportunity.

Aiding and abetting undocumented aliens is against federal law. We need to flood washington with letters on this and demand they put a stop to it.
