**My note: the estimated Calfornia budget shortfall is currently about $16 billion; the net outlay to illegal aliens totals $9 billion. So if illegals weren't in California, the state's budget deficit would be about 56% less.

Are the children of illegal aliens (the US born ones) listed as? They should also go under the illegal alien column, as they would not have been born here if their parents were not illegally present in the US.

Since there are way more children born to illegal aliens, than there are illegal aliens, CA would most likely have a surplus.

And, what would that "budget problem" be, if there were no illegal aliens or the children of illegal aliens in California? I bet it would be a hell of a lot smaller problem.

I do not want my federal tax dollars spent in California funding illegal aliens in any way--California chooses to have sancutary cities, fails to check the citizen/immigration status of those arrested and does all it can to enable illegal immigration. The budget crisis is self-created and until California addresses the source of the problem no monetary bail-out will help--it will only worsen annually.
