We live in a small town in southeast Oklahoma. A four year old was sexually molested Tuesday. We know the family. We've know her since birth. We also know the abuser is an illegal and left town immediately. Our little police department is doing the best it can to find him. It's only 90 miles to Dallas from here. Who would disagree that he is already in
Mexico? God help us all.

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. -- Durant Police are looking for 25-year-old Jose Retana, a man they say raped a four-year-old girl.

Police responded to the call late Tuesday night after the child was taken by her parents to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma.

She was then transported to Texoma Medical Center in Denison for a sexual assault examination.

"We attempted to locate him today, and we've been unable (to). Our last information is that he was seen with his sister, Laura Retana in a tan Chevrolet Tahoe, and again, is wanted for questioning in the rape and instrumentation of a minor," said Lt. Johnny Rutherford of the Durant Police Department on Wednesday.

They say they don't know where he is, and that he may be headed back to Mexico.

Curldee, sorry to hear this. Hopefully this scum bag will be caught and shipped to prison where they don't have much tolerance for child molesters.
For what it's worth, give our best to the family who had to suffer this tragedy from a worthless scum bag.

I don't know how to post it. It hasn't been in our paper yet, unless it is in today's. I don't have mine yet. It was on KXII Channel 12 out of Sherman, Texas. Thay have a website and it is on there.

Oh my gosh. I am so sorry for your town. He could be across the border but he could also just hide out there for awhile and come back in. With our border being so open they just commit crimes and travel back and forth at will.

He could be anywhere by now. The best you can do is try to zero in on any family/friends he has in the area and use them to try to figure out where he is.
