Roughly 150 children are asking President Barack Obama to halt the deportations of their parents until Congress overhauls U.S. immigration laws.
They're requesting the deportations be halted "until Congress overhauls US immigration laws" ? Excuse me? Not "if" Congress overhauls immigration laws?

They're sure overconfident, they really believe they have amnesty in the bag. Hopefully they're waiting for many lifetimes.

You're better off to just go home with your parents now.

The children, who gathered Wednesday at the Miami nonprofit American Fraternity to draw attention to their cause, say their constitutional rights are being violated because they will likely have to leave the country if their parents are forced to go.
This is why we need to change the 14th Amendment NOW!!!!

His own family: absent. His mother was recently deported back to Nicaragua. His father rarely ventures out in public in fear of a similar fate. Now Soza and the other children - all U.S. citizens whose parents face deportation - are demanding a say in the immigration debate.
Daddy needs to man up, quit hiding and take responsibility for what he has done to his family and join his wife back home, where he rightfully belongs. Where their children should have been born. Guess he's going to hold out for Amnesty and leave his wife stuck in Nicaragua, as long as his ass is in the US who cares about her. What a guy.

Bad decisions like breaking the law have consequences.

all U.S. citizens whose parents face deportation - are demanding a say in the immigration debate.
In the United State, majority rules and I can guarantee, that anchor babies are not the majority and most of them are not voting age.

When they came, they had a valid expectation that if they stayed out of trouble for seven years, they could eventually become legal residents, she has argued.
They probably had those expectations because of our government's stupid mistake of the 1986 amnesty. We better learn from history and from our mistakes - NO amnesty ever again. It isn't fair to the illegal aliens to give them false hope and expectations that we will be so stupid again.

There was a question a few months back that continues to pop up once in a while and that is:

"Can we sue the Federal Govt for NOT enforcing our immigration laws?"

The answer I have heard several times over is that the govt cannot be sued.

So, how is it that THEY can sue the govt FOR enforcing our immigration laws?

Has something changed since a year ago???

Excellent question, SickNTired. Maybe the answer that the Fed Gov can't be sued is incorrect. Wish we could find out for sure. The Fed gov has completely failed in their constitutional obligation to protect the homeland, to protect against an illegal invasion and a violation of our nation's sovereignty.

I think the opposition sues claiming that actions or laws are Unconstitutional, so that would have to be our basis for suing, and I think we have plenty of basis! For example, Americans do not receive "equal protection under the laws" illegal aliens are allowed to break laws much more than American citizens. Also the US is not protecting Americans from a foreign invasion as the Constitution requires.

The problem is the opposition gets millions from the Ford and other Foundations, we would need to find a rich donor for this type of lawsuit.

Actually she is scheduled for a full hearing next year on her asylum request. If I'm not mistaken, her new hearing is scheduled for February. As we all know, her first request was denied and she was ordered deported (that was five or six years ago). It definitely pays to have friends in high places.
