HICKORY - The Hickory Police Department identified 32 members of at least one gang in the Hickory area.

They’ve seen the graffiti. They’ve come in contact with gang members wearing the clothing and displaying the tattoos.

That’s why the department is asking the city for approximately $325,000 for a new gang unit, which will include one supervisor, three officers and equipment.

Gangs do not overrun the city but are something to be concerned about, said Deputy Chief Tom Adkins.

“Like every community throughout North Carolina and the United States, gang activity is a growing concern,â€

There is plenty I'd like to say about this. Most of which is are untouchable suggestions. But it is one more example of how the illegal aliens have invaded this country. It is one more example of how the government thinks that throwing money at a problem will fix it when all they have to do is give a little authority to the lawmen we already have. I guarantee you there are literally thousands of police from every single branch of police we have in this country who would love nothing better than to put a stop to these gangs.

Many places, if they get called to break up gang activity and one of those little "choir boys" gets hurt, then the cops get suspended or fired. That is why there is a problem. And that is why there is a problem hiring cops as well as teachers, since our schools are filling up with gang members, too.

"Councilman Brad Lail realized graffiti was on the rise. He didn’t realize it meant gangs were on the rise. However, Lail says it doesn’t surprise him."

What, did he think the tooth fairy was doing it ?

Information is they are in the Wilmington area. ABout 6 or 8 months ago we ran some post/articles on ALIPAC about them in the Wilmington, NC area.
