Suspect held in savage beating of Daly City woman, 78

A man has been arrested for allegedly beating and blinding a 78-year-old widow inside her Daly City home after she surprised him during a robbery attempt, police said today.

Jose Perez-Gonzalez, 29, was arrested Nov. 26 by Mexican authorities in his hometown of Guadalajara. He has been charged by San Mateo County prosecutors with attempted murder, attempted armed robbery, burglary, mayhem and elder abuse.

On Jan. 12, Perez-Gonzalez, an illegal immigrant living in South San Francisco, was driven to the victim's home in the Serramonte neighborhood by Juan Cuellar, 37, of Daly City, said police Lt. Jay Morena.

As Cuellar waited in his car, Perez-Gonzalez pried open a rear sliding-glass door, police said. When the woman confronted him, Perez-Gonzalez allegedly beat her in the face with his metal pry bar, an attack that left her blind.

The assailant fled with Cuellar, authorities said. Cuellar was later arrested and is being held on a federal immigration violation for being in the United States illegally from El Salvador.

Police found the victim semi-conscious and near death after responding to a silent burglar alarm. She now lives in a rest home. Her name has not been released.

Perez-Gonzalez was a tenant in a South San Francisco apartment building that was owned by the victim's family, Morena said. An acquaintance of Perez-Gonzalez telephoned the victim earlier in the day and posed as a package deliveryman to determine when the woman was going to be home, police said.

Perez-Gonzalez intended to burglarize the residence when no one was there, Morena said. He inadvertently left behind at the home unspecified items taken from a burglary in Pacifica, authorities said, so he has also been charged with possession of stolen property.

I don't blame you grandmasmad...you are right in the middle of an invasion and have a horse's ass for a senator, Reid who allows and encourages it and doesn't care what happens to people like you because he cares only about cheap illegal labor for his casinos. You need to send stories as this to all your friends and work to ensure Reid loses his seat in 2010 if thousands of illegal aliens haven't already been registered to vote by him.

I wonder if the aclu will sue this illegal for violating this womans rights? Or do you think they will sue the lady for for being in this poor,hardworking guys way,after all he needed the money to feed his 20 anchor babies.
