Nicholas, welcome! I concur with what others have said - you do indeed have a very clear understanding of the situation. Thank you for posting here - I hope you will continue to do so.
You are certainly right that our government SHOULD be taking strong actions to remedy the situation with our porous borders, preventing illegals from gaining employment, and removing those who should not be here.
Yes, this IS what should be happening.....but sadly and distressingly, our government is not what it should be and has betrayed the American people. It has been commandeered by elitists and globalists who are trying to erase US sovereignty, erase our borders with the Third World Mexico and with canada, tear up the US Constitution which is the only thing upholding freedom in this country, and change us into nothing more than a socialistic, fascist entity under a One World Order.

If an OBL speech had been disrupted by anti-illegal immigration protestors, the ACLU and all the other anti-American groups would be all over it. Makes me sick. We have just got to stay strong.
Deportacion? Si Se Puede!

The ACLU should change it's name into IAFCLU, Illegal Alien Fascist Civil Liberties Union. They are insane.

Immigration Speech Gets Violent At Michigan State
Dec 2 2006 10:56PM
http://sayanythingblog.com/index.php
This sort of thuggish, immature behavior from college liberals is becoming so commonplace as to almost not even be news any more.
Violence erupted at a Michigan law school Thursday when protestors tried to block a speech by Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo.
Police were called after protestors pulled a fire alarm prior to the speech on immigration policies. There were at least three violent incidents with protestors targeting student backers of the event, Tancredo, R-Littleton, said today.
“One was spit on, one was kicked, and one was punched,” Tancredo said in an e-mail. “Tires were also slashed.”
Protestors interrupted the speech with loud shouting.
College newspaper The State News reported that protesters carried signs reading “Ignorant Racist” outside the room where the speech was held. They were not allowed in with the signs, the paper said. It also reported that about 40 people attended the speech.
Tancredo said in the email that protestors organized on the Internet social networking site Facebook.
“They declared ahead of time on facebook that they would not allow me to speak,” Tancredo said in the e-mail.
They didn’t want him to speak. Why? Because they don’t agree with him.
Of course, they’d all be screaming “fascists” if the College Republicans tried to prevent Howard Dean or Jack Murtha from speaking.
Here’s some video of the protest.
What’s really sad is that these idiots are probably going to get away with this. Just like the thugs at Columbia University, who stormed the stage and attacked the Minutemen, got away with it.
Which is pathetic, but not exactly surprising. After all, to many of these college professors and university administrators, people like Tom Tancredo - who dare to express ideas different from their own - are the real enemy, not their thug students who apparently never learned what the 1st amendment stands for.
Update: O’Reilly had the organizers of the event on. See the video on the reader blogs.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

This President stinks, Harry Reid stinks, the SPP stinks, there is so much about this country that stinks, I believe it's time for more than just phoning and faxing the idiots who are determined to ignore us anyway.A Nation with no borders is not a Nation"

Dear Mr. and Ms. -----:
Ms. Baldwin has referred your message of December 1st to me for response. Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns regarding the disruption that occurred in connection with the talk given by Congressman Tom Tancredo.
The Law College does not endorse any particular political perspective; it is committed to providing a venue for the free exchange of ideas. A Law College student group, the Conservative Law Society, invited Congressman Tancredo to share his perspectives on immigration. Both liberal and conservative law students were in attendance to listen to the Congressman's remarks and participate in a question and answer period.
The College Republicans and the Young Americans for Freedom also advertised the event among undergraduates at the University. The protestors were not Law College students. The protest activities presented in the media mainly took place prior to the congressman's arrival. Members of the Law College administration, the law student sponsors, and the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety worked together to ensure that the Congressman was treated with respect and that adequate security was provided. The Law College in no way condones efforts to silence free speech. It is unfortunate that a small group of individuals from outside the College disrupted what should and could have been a reasoned discourse on an important matter of public policy.
