Free Republic is going crazy over this.

    Fools.

Oh how The Honorable Congressman Tom Tancredo is correct. No one on the political spectrum will say this but him. At least he's the only one I have heard.

The truth is rare these days, and it isn't pretty sometimes, but it must be said.

They are so concerned with "party" that they are willing to lose our country in spite of it. Ironically they have almost turned into the poster child for PC!

It's easy to say that Miami is not a Third World Country if you base your answer on the visual scenes of Downtown Miami with all the tall modern buildings. But please remember the Miami Skyline was built on drug money from cartels trying to launder their money through real estate.

When Jesse Helms used to make stinging remarks
about American cities, it was quite ok with most repubs.
Now when someone tells the truth about a state where
repubs have had some success & the object of the truth
is not a democratic voting block, well, we see the results
    on Freerepublic.

I really respect Tancredo for taking it into Jeb's backyard.
I really believe only this kind of truth telling is going to get
us where we need to be.

freerepublic goes after EVERYONE who's against the Illegal Alien Invasion and speaks out against bush.

It's not a dem/repub thing with them. It's an open borders/global/bush thing. Tancredo would have gotten it from them no matter what he said.

    2ndsis,

Duly noted. I thought freerepublic was mostly a mainstream
repub site. But I think my observation still stands in general -- No
repubs went after Helms for making the same type of
remarks on the decay in our large cities or at least I
did not hear them. Now that the globalists are running
the repub party, it seems they want to be PC now.
Which I think I hear other people saying, too.

you do have that PC garbage right.......bush and the bots are joining the libs with a great big PC FEST. It's a global repub/global lib party YIPPEEEE

As far as the Helms thing goes, I'd have to refresh my memory before I would even attempt an opinion. However, if I agreed with him then I probably would see it differently than you. Not sure so won't comment.

Being a banned FR'r myself I can tell you that the ones going crazy over this at FR are the Pro-Illegal/Anti-American posters. All you have to do is view their posts, of any thread, and you will see just how Pro-Illegal these idiots are.

Which is another reason why during their donationathons, what used to take less then a week now takes a month or more.

    2ndsis,

Helms made objective comments about the decay of our cities. He
also made subtle statements which played well in NC wrt red/blue state
kind of stuff. So there was an objective component (which I agreed with) & a political comonent (to be expected.)

My point was that if someone makes the same kind of statements today,
& Tancredo is saying nothing worse than Helms in my opinion, he is
labeled as one step away from Kramer-ville by a lot of repubs. I think
it shows me how far the current repub party is away from the Reagan
era & that's really sad. At least then, it offered some kind of real
alternative. I know all the arguments for/against voting repub now &
to keep the flames from coming, I DID NOT vote for any dems this
time around. I'll be the first one to say now that my old party, has
lost any redeeming qualities. I only wonder how long some rational
house & senate dems can hang in there.

    Don't think, DEM.......KNOW that you're 100% correct.

Both sides of the aisle are dangerous and have no intention of upholding their oath to our Constitution. The few good guys on both sides may or may not have the courage of their convictions. That's a story yet to unfold.

This is so far beyond a repub/dem issue, imho. I do believe that we have more conservatives on our side and that's evident thru their voting records. The real question is how some of these new dems will hold the line or will they cave to their party.

We're in this together as far as I'm concerned. The parties have morphed into one big tower of Babel.
