Trump was actually telling the truth about that. The change in the mortgage interest and property tax deduction will cost him a lot of value and sales on his expensive condominiums because his individual customers won't be able to deduct their mortgage interest or property taxes. It's the same reason the National Association of Realtors opposed the bill. The cost of a new tax law isn't just the impact on taxes, it's the impact on the business. Not every business will benefit from this bill, some of the businesses will actually be paying for the tax cuts that benefit other businesses and Trump's condominium businesses are one of them.
