In Texas, a bill to limit immigration enforcement in public places
In Texas, a bill to limit immigration enforcement in public places

Texas Legislature.
Texas Senator Sylvia Garcia is introducing a bill today that would prevent immigration-enforcement actions in some public locations.
The bill, SB 997, would prevent peace officers from performing federal immigration enforcement actions on the property of hospitals, places of worship, courthouses and public schools, including public colleges and universities.
A press release from Garcia's office states:
The "Sensitive Locations" memorandum issued by Immigration Customs & Enforcement (ICE) in 2011 prevents federal agents from conducting operations at similar locations. However, there is currently no similar law or directive restricting state or local law enforcement officers from performing immigration enforcement actions at these locations unless the employing law enforcement agency has itself voluntarily adopted such a policy.
García and other Texas legislators have scheduled a press conference about the bill later today.

LOL!! "sensiitve locations" .... what are these stupid traitors going to come up with next?? We arrest criminal Americans in all of those places, why would illegal aliens be special and above the law??!!
For those of you who don't see the connection to the illegal drug trade are missing a major connection to the real cause of this problem in the United States.

This is meaningless grandstanding to purposely fit an agenda. The Texas State legislative body can't make law telling federal law enforcement how to perform its duties. Furthermore, assuming such a bill reached Gov. Abbott's desk, I feel fairly certain he would veto it.

Yes it's grandstanding.
Yes the governor may veto it.
This Texas Bill is intended to limit what Texas City, County and State Law Enforcement Officers can and can't do while enforcing immigration laws, not federal officers.

"Sensitive location" .... that's a bunch of bunk!! There is no "sensitive location" for Americans to hide out in, why would ICE establish "sensitive locations" for illegal aliens to provide them sanctuary?
This is a ridiculous policy that shows ICE has been working as a "sanctuary" for illegal immigration.
DRAIN THE SWAMP. Fire everyone and anyone who had anything at all to do with this stupidity.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
