    I sent Cornyn this email:

    NO AMNESTY
    (or path to citizenship)

DON'T REWARD THE CRIMINAL ACTIONS OF MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS

    BY GIVING THEM CITIZENSHIP
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

The claim of a press release opposing amnesty was a lie. It isn't there...staffers are probably being instructed to LIE to callers while they do a CYA spin-move.
The Senator and his staff may define the word "AMNESTY" different then we do, typical Political Talk!

    He is lying to you-

    from his site:

"I support providing opportunity for all and removing government limitations on freedom so that every citizen has the chance to realize the American dream."

Interpret yourself - does this include illegals?

"I support the reauthorization of our nation's welfare laws. We must continue to ensure that the neediest Americans receive assistance in caring for their families while they work to achieve independence. "

    Does this include illegals.

"Our nation's immigration and border security system is badly broken. It leaves our borders unprotected, threatens our national security, and makes a mockery of the rule of law. The system has suffered from years of neglect, and in a post-9/11 world, we cannot tolerate this situation any longer. National security demands a comprehensive solution to our immigration system — and that means both stronger enforcement and reasonable reform of our immigration laws. We must solve this problem — and solve it now."

    -- Senator John Cornyn "

    "reasonable reform"

What is "reasonable"--- What is "reform"??

What, in his mind is "reasonable reform"??. No reform is needed , only enforcement.

Cornyn heads up the Republican Senatorial Election Committee. He wanted to anoint Governor Crist, Florida's top RHINO. Crist has gone from something like leading by 80 points in November to down 30 now. And Crist is losing to a more conservative candidate who does not support cap and trade or amnesty which Crist does. And you should never underestimate the role Crist played in helping McAmnesty winning both the Florida and Republican primary.

Who else has Cornyn supported? Try the Benedict Arnold of our time Arlen Specter. And the list goes on and on.

Due to the inability of the average voter to break the bondage of the two party system the Republican leadership simply believes it will regain power through the lesser of two evils routine. That being the case the only power retained by voters is in the primary. This is why August 24th is so important. If on that day voters in AZ retire Senator McAmnesty in favor of an anti-Amnesty candidate who is making illegal immigration an issue the political climate on the issue will change radically. Unfortunately, illegal immigration has not been a defining issue in a high profile race yet where the amnesty supporter lost because of it.

Just recently Texans had an opportunity to make illegal immigration a defining issue in their Governors race and failed to do so. Rick Perry was ripe for the picking on that issue. For goodness sakes he was the 1st Governor in the Country to grant illegal aliens in state college tuition. And just look at the Texas-Mexico border, what has he done to secure it and protect citizens of his state? Then there was his support for the NAFTA superhighway etc.

How to make the point when calling:

    1. If Senator Cornyn in any way encourages or supports legislation that provides illegal aliens a path to citizenship the Republican Party will no longer have my support at any level because if honoring the rule of law does not guide the GOP Leadership then I do not want anything to do with it anymore.

    2. With unemployment/underemployment approaching 20% I want to know what Senator Cornyn is doing to remove illegal aliens from jobs Americans should have?

    3. I am concerned that no member of the Republican Leadership has stepped forward and declared that the Republican Party will not support any immigration measures that are not 100% enforcement oriented. Will Senator Cornyn be doing this soon?

******to clarify, a path to citizenship is the key aspect to discuss******
Amnesty is a meaningless term at this point. The open borders/cheap labor crowd insist that Amnesty is not occurring if there is a fine or some such wrist slap. We already have de facto amnesty when you consider how few deportations there are and all the billions in taxpayer funds that are spent on educating, incarcerating and medicating illegal aliens. When they speak of Amnesty we must ask them to clarify if they are addressing a "pathway to citizenship" or the "New Amnesty". That is how you "find" out where your elected official truly stands.

It is time to go on offense and use Democrats to push Republicans back. We need to consider pushing for legislation at both the state and federal level that would establish a revenue tax on all businesses in order to pay for the cost of both legal and illegal immigration. Democrats love taxing businesses and this would make them look like they were punishing Corporate America for always trying to beat down wages for workers just so they can pay huge fat cat bonuses. We all know the routine, but should we use it? It might serve to push back the Chamber of Commerce and its members who currently support de facto amnesty and future increases in immigration because it will no longer be a socialize the cost and privatize the profit scheme. If that doesn’t work for you then in about 10 years we will be facing higher taxes as well as cuts in Social Security and Medicare in order to fund additional social services for our new fellow citizens. Just wait until they have their “rightsâ€
