The first I heard the FBI had anything to do with MS-13. I guess the ones who are citizens would fall under FBI responsibility. The illegal aliens were all handled by ICE out of DHS.

Yes, Captainron, you're right, and the $25 billion was not all for "wall", it was the funding for Trump's 70 immigration reform plan that included 15,000 more ICE agents, 5,000 more Border Patrol agents, 1,000 new immigration prosecutors, 500 new immigration judges, Visa Entry/Exit Tracking System, more federal detention centers for illegal aliens, more funds for illegal alien removals, an employee verification system, E-verify or other similar type program, all needed support personnel, vehicles, equipment, computers, softwares, gear, equipment, vans, jail space, tents, surveillance cameras, air support, a very thorough, broad-based program to solve this problem once and for all rather quickly, in addition to the wall that was included in this $25 billion. Trump couldn't get it passed because we didn't have enough votes in the Senate, so when the DACA fiasco came up in late 2017, that's when he tried to use the DACA deal as a bargaining chip to get all of this for us.

We of course opposed all those bills here, because of the DACA component.

The only other way to pass such a bill without a DACA component would be to hold the House in the mid-terms and elect enough more Republican Senators to have 60 votes in the Senate to pass the bill.

Of course, the plan/hope of having enough votes to pass an immigration control bill of any type that we would want died on November 6, 2018 when DemoQuacks won control of the US House of Representatives.

Even now 7 weeks after the election, the reality of where we are in all of this doesn't seem to have sunk in yet.
