NAPLES: An East Naples woman was arrested on Tuesday after deputies say she illegally practiced dentistry in her converted garage.

Rosa Maria Toledo, 56, 1065 Moon Lake Drive, was charged with practicing dental hygiene without an active license and non-licensed person leasing or operating dental equipment.

Acting on a tip, investigators obtained a search warrant and found the garage had been converted into a dental office, according to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report.

"In the room was a black reclining chair, a water-powered drill set, and a cabinet containing dental castings, molds, dental crown glues, crowns, partial dentures and bridges," the report said.

Investigators say they also found dental tools hanging from Toledo's wall, a cabinet containing Novocain and other substances, and records for hundreds of patients.

According to the report, Toledo practiced dentistry in Mexico before moving to the U.S.
