TX-Emergency Landing in Abram
Emergency Landing in Abram
Reported by: Eddie Flores
Last Update: 7:11 pm
(KRGV, 2010) SOUTH OF PALMVIEW - The pilot of a Border Patrol helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing south of Palmview.
The helicopter landed on South Abram Road in Abram about 500 yards from the Rio Grande River. Police tell us someone south of the river threw what appeared to be a rock at the helicopter forcing the pilot down.
Several officials are on scene. There doesn't appear to be any major damage to the helicopter. There's no word how many people were inside or if anyone inside it was hurt.

More rock throwing and at a helicopter??? Thank goodness everyone is ok. Tensions sound very high along the border right now, higher than usual.
