U.S. Bans 'Hell-Bike Grandpa'

GRANDAD who flew to the US for a charity bike ride was refused entry by immigration officials who thought he was a HELLS ANGEL.

Bill Singleton, 59, collected £3,000 in sponsorship for the 7,000-mile trek from Montana to Alaska in aid of a deaf children’s charity.

But when he arrived at Denver Airport staff suspected he was heading to a notorious biker rally.

The window cleaner — whose daughter, her hubby and their baby girl are deaf — was quizzed for five hours.

Bill believes customs grew suspicious after finding his wallet had a wolf’s head logo — a symbol linked to US Angels.

When officials discovered he had a conviction for assaulting a cop 38 years ago they put him on a UK flight.

Bill said at home in Harpenden, Herts: “I am devastated. I’d never be in the Hells Angels.â€
